Hi, new Mr. Terrific fans! Do you want to get to know him after watching the movie? Here’s a short and easy reading list for you!

Important details to note:

His name is Michael Holt

He’s a legacy character. There was a Mr. Terrific before Michael named Terry Sloane who has been dead for decades. He’s the reason why “Fair play” is written on Michael’s jacket sleeves.

His origin includes attempted suicide.

His mask has a purpose! It makes him a walking blind spot to cameras.

The New 52 Mr. Terrific is a completely different character.

I wanted to combine his designs from the comics and show, if you were wondering why he has two sets of plates on his arms as opposed to just one. I also prefer the shape they take on in the comics.

His eyes are something that I want to render further, as I believe them to be very important to his look - strong, sturdy, square, and sad.

In the show, his eyes appear to very telling of how he subconsciously feels about what’s happening. But also, they illustrate how emotional he is in general, without relation to the trauma he suffered. Big old eyes. 💔

A head-canon I have is that he’s into Marxist theory and Kantian ethics ….He loves to argue.
