When you are a tiger-headed fiend and sometimes it leaks through your disguise.
Some expression practice with Mahadi the Rakshasa, this was very fun to make. Also please appreciate - i gave him a golden fang and I’m planning to roll around in this idea.

Some of you may have seen the color rough of this in my instagram stories, but I finally got around to scanning the paintings I created over my winter break. Here’s the first one – a little bit of Hilda fan art. I love that show so much! The second I saw this scene, I knew I had to paint it.
This painting also served as technique experiment. If you’d like to read the nitty gritty technical details, click below~

For the past few years, every September I do a daily gouache painting challenge for myself called #septempera. This year was no exception, although my production was a lot more limited because of Deadlineland so the “daily” part didn’t work that much.
I did manage to make 12 tiny paintings, you can see all of them on my blog, and you can find prints of these four on my Inprnt store here.

The annual trip to the Minnesota side of Interstate state park did indeed manage to happen this year, and there were a very manageable number of people so that we could keep at safe distances.
I mostly took my photos with the Nikon, so I’ll upload those another time, but here’s the plein air study I managed on location. Funny thing is the sun came out strong as I progressed, so the rocks don’t seem bright enough here. I would like to keep working on it in my spare time (what’s that?)
