If you practice all the time and master your instrument then call yourself a great instrumentalist…a great pianist, a great violinist, a great bassoonist, a great cellist, etc. And if you learn how to phrase musically, and understand the musical structure and grammar of music and so forth, you call yourself a musician. But until that person out there listening gets some kind of goose bumps one way or the other, through joy or sorrow or what have you, then don’t call yourself an artist. We have the power to move people and this should be the goal and not how many fast notes could we play per square inch or square measure. Also, never forget that we are all students for life. I am constantly learning still and no matter what you do, the learning and growing will never stop, and whether you are 8, 18 or age 88, we are students for life.

Joints like our knuckles are lubricated with liquid called the synovial fluid. When manipulated, these joints can pop or crack audibly. For half a century, researchers have thought the cracking sound joints under tension make was the result of bubbles in the synovial fluid collapsing. But a new cine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study shows that the sound is generated during bubble inception and that the cavity persists after the sound. When the bones of the joint are pulled, viscous forces resist their separation. With enough force, the joints separate suddenly, causing a pressure drop in the synovial fluid that forms a vapor-filled cavity in the joint. According to the real-time MRI observations, this is when the sound is generated. The cavity does eventually dissipate, they found, but only well after the pop. Cases like these aren’t cut in dry. As a person in the same situation, I SAW the person who raped my friend. I saw his snarky fucking face, and I saw the consequences of what he did on my friend for months. I WANTED to beat the shit out of him. I WANTED to push him down a flight of stairs.

But you know what? In a civil society you can’t just fucking beat the shit out of people. If he has faced no consequences then there are only two reasonable inferences to make A) The rape does not fit a conventional definition (ie. both involved with inebriated and thus complicit in the eyes of the law). or B) The friend is too hurt to testify.

This is not to blame the victim, again I’ve seen this happen, but you can not hold the SCHOOL accountable for not prosecuting the accused without evidence. If no one testifies, no one is tried, that’s the law and that is an imperative of true justice such that no one is unduly sent to jail. 

Call it naive but i trust the justice system more than the social media system on tumblr to hold the guilty party accountable in responsible manner. 

Spreading a name of the accused without evidence is tentamount to harassment, and can destroy this person’s career prospects. Well deserved IF he were guilty, but then none of us has ANY idea who the OP is, and what her relationship is to any of these people. Its all hearsay.

Dear god though. Please. A female president is 100% A-OK, there’s no substantive reason against it.

But Hilary Clinton is FAR from the best candidate for a democratically alligned person. Granted, she has excellent experience in politics, but review her policies and compare/contrast them to the upcoming electorate. 

Do. Not. Vote. For. Her. Because. She’s. A. Woman.

Hilary as president will stop sexism just as much as Obama stopped racism.
