Our previous announcement that we were closing on January 30 was wrong. When the taproom closes at 9pm this Sunday (June 18), we will be closed for good. From now until June 30, please visit the taproom often to help celebrate the closing of Petaluma Hills Brewing Company. Wait, what? It is, of course, with great sadness that I make this announcement that Petaluma Hills will cease operations at the end of June. We may return someday after a brief hiatus and with a slightly different vision. But, for too long the brewery has not been on sound enough financial footing to continue. Nuff said about that. For now, know that making craft beer and sharing it with you has been one of greatest joys of my life. It is amazingly humbling and satisfying when someone tells us that one of our beers is their favorite. The Petaluma Hills brand was built with Petaluma in mind and we are fortunate to have such a rich history to supply such great stories that support such a thriving cultural environment that loves craft beer. Petaluma Hills became what it is because of the support and contributions of my family and our staff. They helped build the brewery, the taproom, and the brand. They brewed, made signs and artwork, served beer, and poured at events. They represented and represented well. I could not have done this without them. Finally, Petaluma Hills Brewing Company would never have made it this far without your support. Please stop by multiple times over the next several weeks to have some of your favorite beers and say “Cheers”. My family, the crew, and I would like to say, “Thank you!” to everyone. Maybe, just maybe, you can get me to talk about future plans. JJ
