Arc Trainer: Saving the best for last, the arc trainer is a newbie's best friend, and my personal favorite. It's the perfect low impact machine for burning substantial calories in a short amount of time. The motion for this one basically blends what you do on an elliptical with a Stairmaster, and it's customizable with three ranges: glide, stride, and climb. Muscles targeted: quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves and biceps.
Leg Press Machine: This machine is basically a seated version of squats, allowing you to lift heavy weights without worrying about placing too much strain on your knees and lower back. Set the weight at a level that is slightly difficult on your first try, but not impossible. Beginners should try about 10 reps in a set. Be careful to place your legs roughly hip-width apart, while raising and lowering the plate slowly. And that's one rep closer to having crazy strong legs. Muscles targeted: quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteus maximus (glutes)
Elliptical: The elliptical machine works your whole body, improving your balance and mobility. With a wide variety of intensity and resistance levels to choose from, your workout will always stay interesting. Chest Press Machine: This motion is similar to a push-up, working upper body muscles that, as a beginner, will provide you with the strength you need to take on more intense workouts in the future. To use this equipment properly, lay back on the bench and position your arms slightly farther than shoulder-width apart, moving your arms up and down. Muscles targeted: pectoralis major (pecs), deltoids, trapezius (traps) and triceps

You know what we’re talking about when the shoulders are pulled so far forward, lats are as wide as a barn, and from behind, their back looks like a giant sea turtle shell! This turtle Back? posture can create neck, upper back, and shoulder pain and injuries faster than you can pop an Advil!
Plus, how many times during your day are you forced to lie on your back and push up a bar loaded with weights? There are so many better exercises for chest development that not only stimulate more muscle but also build more usable strength.
Now let’s talk about the fabulous thigh builder, the leg extension? Not only does it place an unbelievable amount of strain on the knee joint, but it also will quickly overdevelop the quads, which are already getting far more work than their counterpart, the hamstrings.
An imbalance between the quadriceps and hamstrings, which is also extremely common in bodybuilders, is a key contributor to back pain. This imbalance is easily identifiable by what people often call 'stubble Butt? or ghetto Booty?

Why feel pain?
Before we can answer this question, we need to understand how the body interprets and handles pain. The pain impulse begins at the point of an injury, for example, a cut, burn, pinched nerve, bruised muscle, etc.
Once the impulse starts, it triggers a number of bio-chemicals to be released at the site of the injury. Some of these bio-chemicals are histamine, bradykinin, prostaglandin, and Substance P. Each of these have one or more effects on the body.

Decreasing the levels of the “pain” bio-chemicals or
by blocking the nerves of pain - the C fibers.
What drugs are used to relieve pain?

Narcotics and tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline or Elavil, on the other hand, actually can block the release of Substance P and stop transmission at the spinal cord level, but once again have no value in decreasing the levels of the bio-chemicals of pain.
