I really enjoyed the robron stuff, but Ryan and Oliver particularly knocked it out the park. You see this is what I’ve been saying all along. For John’s sl to work, you really do need one of the Sugden brothers back.

“That’s strange, I only have one brother.” Damn fucking right Robert. You tell him.

Funny thing about all this is if John hasn’t visited, Robert wouldn’t have come back to the village. The guy is literally his own worst enemy.

Called it, I said Aaron dobbed Robert in. That’s heartbreaking for Robert. I get why Aaron told him not to come back, but considering his family is in the village; it’s incredibly selfish.

I’m confused. How the hell did John know so fast?

What did you think of Robert's exit sl? I still don't think it made sense.
It was fine. I appreciate them realising that the fandom would never accept Robert leaving Aaron. Also it's better than them killing him off. Logistically; the actual storyline didn't really make that much sense - and was rushed. Tbf unless robron had left together, I don't think I was ever going to like.

Finale prediction of the night: After next week, I think the whole John vs. Robert storyline will start to slow down. It’ll probably wrap up with John coming out as the hero, the one who saved Robert from himself. Robert might continue spiraling, or get sent off on some kind of side quest. Either way, his focus won’t be on John for a while. Then maybe we’ll pick things back up later in the summer, heading into the fall.

Kinda here for John making Robert think he's losing his mind/Robert actually losing it if that's where we're heading. Low-key I wanna see him have a full on breakdown ranting about how John tried to kill him while Aaron and Vic are looking all worried and sympathetic and contemplating calling an ambulance for him bc they don't know how to help him on their own and that making John seethe even more while he has to pretend to be somewhat concerned as well
Great minds think a like anon, because same. Honestly, John is going to realise fast the more he messes with Robert; the worse thing are going to get for him. Because he might also be Vic's brother, but they've known each other for a year. Robert has been her brother, her whole life. Robert and Andy are her family, and when push comes to shove she'd never give up on either of them. And as for Aaron, you don't let go of a history, like those two have. John watching Aaron and Vic going out of their mind with worry. And having to pretend to care, is going to be delicious.

Okay but Zoe Slater and Robert Sugden returning within weeks of each other? Iconic.

Producers: How dramatic do you want Robert's first week back in the village to be?
Writers/Ryan: Yes.

so, just so we’re clear, this is what’s going to happen in robert sugden’s first calendar week out of prison:
- crashing into the apartment at the mill
- getting a job from caleb, i guess
- losing the job caleb gave him (uncertain)
- punching victoria in the face (definitely an accident, but still)
- almost going to jail AGAIN bc of said punch in the face (nice try johnny)
- crashing out about that and drinking himself silly
- finding some rando off the street to fuck to get back at aaron
- crashing out again when aaron doesn’t react
- almost getting murdered by his stepbrother who also stole his man
-being put in the back of his disgusting van
i will be adding to this list accordingly

Really curious about how the Vic thing plays out. Unfathomable to me to think he'd like, attack her lol, so I can only assume she startles him and catches an elbow or something. Especially because it seems like it just makes her worry about him more rather than be angry at or afraid of him
#emmerdale#this is my train of through too#i just can't imagine him hurting victoria unless it was an accident#robert sugden#victoria sugden

My theory is he hits Vic during some sort of PTSD flashback/blackout and can't really remember it happening. Then when John drugs him, he dumps him somewhere after and Robert wakes up not knowing what happened or how he got to wherever he is and thinks he's had another one of his blackout episodes but it will backfire bc it will make Aaron equally as worried as Vic about him
Please let this be what happens, because it would be amazing. Honestly, this goes with my theory of John making everyone believe Robert is having a breakdown; only it's actually true because he is. Oh 100% Aaron will just end up worried. The boy already couldn't sleep because he felt like he was letting Robert down by not going to the prison visit. Can you imagine how he's going to feel if he thinks Robert's having a mental health crisis. WE ARE SO BACK anon.

"aaron doesn't seem at all bothered by seeing his ex with someone else" = aaron is absolutely bothered, he's just trying to hide it

Does Caleb own part of Home James now or did Jimmy not sell to him in the end? Wondering if it's Jimmys doing that Robert gets a job there rather than at Caleb's other business
So Caleb is a co-owner of Home James Haulage, if I'm not mistake it's like 50/50 thing. So, you are right, maybe Jimmy offers Robert a job. Which I also love, because maybe I'm in the minority but I liked Jimmy and Nicola's friendship with Robert. Lol I just got excited because I want Ash and Ryan scenes.
