I find it really hard to make any new gay friends in Sydney. You seem to have such a beautiful big group. Any recommendations?
The gay social scene in Sydney can sure seem fickle, I’ve lived here most of my life so have long stemmed friendships that I guess have expanded.
The best advice I can give anyone is to be your most authentic self and let that confidence attract friendships in likeminded people.
Don’t try to change yourself to attract a group of people you think you want to be your friends. Maybe part of your self love journey for 2021 can include being more confident at putting yourself out there, or texting someone you think you share interests with to start chatting in a friendly demeanor? Won’t always get the response you imagine but don’t be deterred.
I always suggest new arrivals to Sydney join a community group of some sort, whether it’s a Bootcamp, dance classes, book club, language school, art classes… anything that might build a routine of social interaction with people who share interest. They can often lead to friendships and social invitations (after COVID obvs)
Final note; aim for quality over quantity my friend. Xx

Do you and Dilhan have unprotected sex? Are either of you on PrEP?
With each other, yes.
We don’t take PrEP.
Trust is a wonderful thing, if you can find it.
