By using the geometry tools in the unreal engine i created some perfect frames for all my work pieces of my art gallery. I did it by extrude the shape into itself leaving the perfect shape for a picture.

Unreal Engine- Art Gallery Evaluation
Interfaces
The interface on the Unreal engine is very easy because it felt like a normal way to fly around and interact with the surroundings. The software I used in this project seemed easier at the start but when you get more in-depth it gets somewhat difficult. So overall I would have to say that Unreal engine’s interface and menus are easier than other software I have used such as illustrator. This is because it has very easy tabs and folders to access and the Unreal engine has the capability to have a lot of space to have fun with it and be creative and accurate. This is shown with the same software making legendary games like Borderlands 2, Bioshock and XCOM.
Making a Landscape
While making the landscape i was confident in using the tools that were provided and I am confident in finding the tools for the task i wanted to do. Next time I would like to increase my understanding of the tools and be able to use them even better so I can make better landscapes like better hills, mountains, lake and oceans so i can integrate them into the main part of the project. I could get better at the landscaping by asking for more tips from my teacher (Owain) or i could watch tutorials online or on YouTube for tips and tricks to the trade.
Making a Gallery
I created the gallery by making the spiral stairs first because then i could gauge the height I am having the floor of the gallery. In this time i also made some concepts for a tree to be copied and pasted down a cobblestone path that i also made for where the player spawns. After this part I placed down a plane concept of the floor walls and roof and textured them. After i did all this I finished the outside by making the path have bushes next to it instead of tree’s and at this point i also finished my fountain with actual water. I also added a billboard and added an advert that I made in my “Freak or Unique” project. I then created some basic picture frames
Displaying your Work
I displayed my work or art by making multiple frames using geometries of landscape square or portrait. I did this because it thought it would look cool and add to the overall aesthetic of the gallery.
Take it Further
Next time i would add more detail to the exterior of the gallery and overall add more flare to the gallery interior and exterior. I’d do this by adding a car park, a fence going around the whole gallery and also i’d add a garden at the back of the gallery.

in each of the pictures it shows the amount of detail i wanted to achieve. I did this because i like to test my own ability to create something that i imagined in my head which i achieved in this project. Extras such as a clock tower with clock, bushes on the side of a cobble path, spiral stairs, roof windows with realistic shadows. a fountain and a billboard with an advert on.

Here is the start of my art gallery. Here it shows my start of a fountain and a small tree which will eventually be make Also it hows my grand oak staircase which will lead into my “Grand Art Gallery Of Art That Contains Art.” I made them out of wood so it complements with the stone path and the rest of the gallery. This is because i want the gallery to be quite grand and old looking due to a personal preference. I also added added a directional light that shines on the back of the art gallery so when it’s finished it’ll look cool. I lastly started to add a cobblestone path to make it seem more realistic and immersive.

Here are 2 pictures of art galleries which i want to take ideas from.
With the first picture i want to copy the idea with having some art behind glass to make the art look treasured and valuable.
I’d like to copy some ideas on the second one because the paintings being close together looks cool to me.

Here it shows the vr game then game and animation.
The vr game’s developer team is called AURORA games and this is the only game they’ve made. In this game you have a virtual girlfriend who you can play games with.
The developer's of RUINER are called Reikon games and again this is the only game they’ve made. The game is about you being a robot in a dystopian future where everything is run and governed by a company called HEAVEN.In this game your main aim is to rescue your brother because he was taken by HEAVEN.
Carl-Christian Gehl is the creator of DAVE has made alot of others but sadly only has around 1000 subscribers on YouTube. The overall short film is about a kid trying to escape a Utopian futuristic home.

Here it shows a world that I've played with. It shows in the bottom left a hollow cylinder which i made by having two cylinders and one is smaller but subtractive.
To make my lake i made a cylinder using the geometry version and giving it more sides. Then i moved it just underground after increasing it’s size. Then dug into the ground making the lake look natural.
I attempted to build a plane and quickly learnt how hard that task would be because it took about 5 mins to learn how to make the hull.
I’d like to learn more about how to make meshes and play around with making 3D models. I feel that my work is a good start because i learnt how to do a lot of the basics. Like how to shoot out lamps.

Here it shows an edited version of a project where you can change everything the way you please. The ground would normally have a lot of lines on it because of the engine not updating the world every millisecond. So you have to force it to correct the lighting so it looks smooth. You can move around the world with the mouse using left and right click and the scroll wheel. Also you can use W.A.S.D and arrow keys to move around.

This shows how i made my enemies flip when they hit a specific block. It boils down to as when the enemy hits the block it’ll flip and underneath it shows that the enemy has a constant speed of 2.

Here i made my own mechanic so it would kill the enemy when stomped on its head. It does this when the collision from the player hits the top of the enemy it’ll destroy. Then it goes onto the next level.

I saved this as a JPEG so i could use it in flowlab as an animation. I had to have it as a 32X32 so it would fit inside the flowlab editing window.

Here it shows the start of the level with my character the robot princess. I used Photoshop to make my character by using the pencil tool.
