hello

so i’m not sure if anyone noticed i was gone but i’m back. not for long, i think, just to kind of explain why i bailed.

i left. i left instagram, snapchat, twitter, whatsapp ((i left every group chat i was in, i didn’t answer people who i felt like didn’t need to be answered. basically i only used some of these apps to communicate with a selected group of people)). i unfollowed practically everyone on tumblr, deleted people from my snapchat, and erased a few contacts from my phone as well.

i was/am going through a rough patch right now and i need a break from all social media. a place i used to consider safe and comfortable became toxic and scary for me. it wasn’t what i needed for my already unstable mental health.

just a few months ago, i was doing great. i was finally happy. then, somwhere along the road, that happiness faded into the same darkness i thought i had escaped. every day i fell deeper into that dark hole that i never want to go back to. it’s like i blinked and all that i worked hard to achieve was taken away from me, replaced by ugliness.

people who i thought were my friends, weren’t. people i used to think i couldn’t live without, i coped with their absence. everything changed and i didn’t notice until it was too late to fix.

i don’t know when i’ll come back to this blog, if ever, but i just wanted to explain myself before disappearing again. i’ll be on and off for a few days and then i’ll be gone again.
