hi, i’m a disabled trans person who babysits my siblings (ages 3, 9, 11) every single day so my mom can work. we have basically no income, anything she makes goes immediately to bills or bare minimum groceries.
We are all currently in DESPERATE need of clothes, we’ve all been recycling between two outfits and most of our clothes have holes in them.
My goal is to get at least $100 per person, there’s 5 of us total, or 6 including my mom. There’s me (20), my brothers (19, 11, 3), and my sister (9).
Thank you SO much if you can donate or reblog, it means the world to all of us ❤️

i really can't stand this anymore oh my god
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so i have made a few posts talking about this, but my mom is Making Ultimatiums that are going to fuck me over financially just for the hell of it. i am currently unemployed, receiving no more benefits, and i have absolutely no savings. at this point i have a negative balance on my bank account and i have nothing much i can do about it. i am a trans man with adhd, ptsd, and severe depression so it has become inhospitable in my current living environment, and i need to move, except i currently live in one of the most expensive places in the US and i don't know how to drive. basically, i need to buy a bike, get a plane ticket, and find a job. so this is a mutual aid request but also like. if any of you know of any trans people who know of any trans safe living areas that are not wildly expensive, please message me!
anyway i have talked for too long, here is my info

First of all, are you aware that brain cancer is an actual thing that I do not have? It affects many people and once you lose those braincells, they're gone. It hasn't happened to me yet, but it hurts to know that you would a. Call me a bitch for stating an opinion, along with a researched fact that is not wrong (I didn't say the orders didn't go through them, but Congress is the branch with the power to declare war) and b. Use a disease that affects real people to insult me. It's like the r-word, but obviously not that horrible and insensitive.
Second, using the name of JC with a curse word in the middle is very oxymoronic. As for the last part of that tag, yes, the fact was ambiguous, and for a reason. It's meant to be a broad statement. It's meant to be open to interpretation. I apologize if it did not come across that way.
Third, I'm sorry if you felt insulted by this. As you state, "Free speech is both a blessing and a curse." You have the right to your opinion, and me to mine, but don't insult me over something that you believe to be incorrect. I hope you've seen my previous post and understand where I am coming from.
In the future, do your best to talk to people if you believe they've made a mistake instead of insulting them and calling them names. My research will continue, and I hope that yours will too!

Don't treat someone who had Trump elected on their 13th birthday like a kid. I cared about politics from a very young age. If I had been ten years older, I would have been the only kid in my class to have voted for Obama when his second election came around. Don't treat me like a kid just because I shared something that in no way referenced my age. Remember, the man who originally said that paraphrased "I didn't pay attention" bit (John Mulaney) was in his 20s during Obama's presidency. Age has nothing to do with it, it's your maturity and your knowledge of politics. I knew how the electoral college worked at age 4. I knew the Preamble at age 3. Age has nothing to do with it.
The fact is that the good outweighs the bad in a lot of presidencies. Not all, but a lot. There's a wonderful quote that I can't remember the author of that goes like this: "When someone does something bad, do not allow it to ruin the good things they have done." Not sure if that's word for word, but not my quote either way. The fact is that Obama did a lot of good things and a lot of bad things, but overall he was a good president, and not just because he was the first African-American president.
TLDR: Age is just a number and Obama, while having some faults, had an overall good presidency.

I am not a fan of this series (yet) but it's good advice for anyone who is about to get into a fight that isn't worth it (cough Tonys/anti-Tonys cough)
“You don’t have to go in there” is a mantra from a parenting book I read recently that I’m finding applicable to fandom life as well.
In the context of parenting, it means that you don’t have to put yourself into the emotions your kids are dealing with. You can validate and sympathize, but you don’t have to have your own Big Feelings when they’re having their Big Feelings. The author developed this mantra because one of her kids would go into their closet and slam the door when they were angry, and she (the author) didn’t need to go in there after the kid in order to be a good parent.
Since my kids are almost 4 and have many Big Feelings, and I’m super empathetic and have a tendency to stress out and/or mirror emotions around me, this mantra is super helpful for me.
I’m also finding myself repeating it right now in the context of, bear with me here, the Supernatural series finale.
See, I loved it. I thought it was awesome. I thought it was absolutely thematically on point, AND it gave my favorite character Sam Winchester (who, despite the way CERTAIN people talk about the show, is in fact a main character and has been from the beginning) a lot of things that I wanted for him.
But there’s a very vocal group of fans–I’m not sure how big they are compared to the rest of the fandom, but they are certainly very loud and people outside the fandom tend to assume they speak for all of us–who think the finale was terrible. And their reasons for that demonstrate once again that, even though we watched the same show, I’m not completely sure we were watching the same show.
And just because of who I am and my long-held habits, I can feel myself spiraling into frustration and anger, especially as I see comments and memes from outside the fandom just taking the nay-sayers’ word for it that the finale was bad.
But.
I don’t have to go in there.
My friends and I and the part of the fandom we like being in loved the finale. We’re happy, we’re vindicated, we feel good. I don’t have to let the opinions of others take that away from me by letting their feelings mess with mine.
I don’t have to go in there.
And neither do you, if you’re having a similar experience, about this or anything else.

I hate Tony stans and non Tony stans alike. The arguments over Tony's character make me wish I never watched a single Marvel movie. Tony's got his ups and downs, cool. He's dealing with emotional abuse from his dad, but he used lethal force on Bucky when it wasn't needed. There are two sides to every coin, and y'all need to accept that.
Tony Stark is imperfect and improving and I love him 3000 for it.
