How to look after Dogs!
Dogs are very popular pet animals; there are approximately eight million dogs kept as pets in the UK. There are many different breeds and varieties of dog, varying in size, body shape and personality. Typically, dogs live for thirteen years, but many may live for much longer.
Facts:
Without water to drink, a dog may become seriously ill within hours.
A dog needs a well-balanced diet to stay fit and healthy.
Dogs need particular food to keep them healthy – most human meals will not provide dogs with the nutrition they need.
Some human foods, such as chocolate and onions, can be poisonous to dogs.
An individual dog’s dietary needs depend on his/her age, lifestyle and his/her state of health.
How much your dog needs to eat depends on its diet, his/her body weight and how active he/she is.
If a dog eats more food than it needs, he/she will become overweight and may suffer.

Pet Fayre is a small independent pet shop situated in Lower Earley, Reading. We specialise in complete dog, cat and small animal foods from manufacturers such as Arden Grange, Burns and Supreme.
Our staff have extensive knowledge of pet care and pet nutrition and have qualifications including a National Diploma in Animal Management and C&G in Livestock Management.
The online shop has been developed to offer our customers a vast range information about the products we sell in-store and information on how to care for a wide range of pets (ranging from Cats, Dogs, Hamsters, Rabbits and tropical fish). We also pride ourselves on providing our online help system whereby you can submit questions relating to products and pets.
The shop is situated in a small precinct where there is ample free parking. Please note that product prices are subject to change based on the will of Pet Fayre. Shop opening hours are Monday to Saturday 08:30 to 17:00 (closed Sunday and Bank Holidays).
