Maedhros. the Tall "There Maedhros in time was healed; for the fire of life was hot within him, and his strength was of the ancient world, such as those possessed who were nurtured in Valinor. His body recovered from his torment and became hale, but the shadow of his pain was in his heart; and he lived to wield his sword with left hand more deadly than his right had been"

It shouldn’t be controversial to say “I don’t ship incest”.
What world do you live in where you are a persecuted minority for not shipping incest? Listen. I tire of this entire incest convo. You all love drawing elves brown for "I'm one of the good ones" brownie points, but in India consanguinious marriages account for 14% of marriages, and in Iran first cousin marriage account for 27%. Can you deal with that or not? And I'm not going to bore you with the rest of the global statistics, but the tremendous and horrific taboo and pearl-clutching around fictional incest is ludicrous and frankly has just become a dogwhistle for competitions of moral purity. If you can write cute domestic fluff about mass murderers being adorable and kind and soft, and that does not count as "condoning murder" then I should be able to write incest without it meaning that I condone any level of real world sexual exploitation, grooming, imposition or whatnot. And ultimately the potential harm of incest comes from the power relationships that often characterise such dynamics - the authority, influence, psychological and financial dependencies, domestic co-dependencies, etc. It's so easy to single out something taboo-fiable like incest to scream at, and not bat a goddamn lash in a world full of relationships with horrifically uneven, exploitative, coercive traits that relate to work/career, displacement/visas, positions of authority, patriarchal structures, etc. Rather than be concerned with fictional incest, be concerned with real-world structures of power.

if you're still taking requests, id love to see your take on Eonwe 😳(maybe with Mairon/Sauron too hehe)
regardless, also just wanted to say that i absolutely ADORE your art and the way you draw Sauron is just 😩😩absolute perfection
Mairon and Eonwe probably going out to annoy Olorin or check out Arien.
So that's my first attempt at a design for Eonwe, I like the direction but would probaby need a few more attempts to say I found it.

the secret to organising any kind of trip with your friends is to become the benevolent dictator. do NOT wait for everyone to provide a consensus on things before you book anything. do it and then ask for feedback after. do not ask people what they would like to do just tell them what is happening and let them all nod along like the sheep they are. this is the ONLY way to coordinate a group of adults in their 20s/30s

john ronald reuel tolkien, a catholic man born in 1892: this is indis. she was swift of foot and often walked alone among nature. there was ever light and mirth about her. she loved finwe but her unrequited feelings never embittered her. she only entered a relationship with him after he made his willingness and desire known.
silm fandom: ohhhh so she's a slut whose selfish desire for dick traumatized my poor mass murderer feanor and it can be understood that the root of his tragic descent into madness was this conniving abusive homewrecking bitch. got it!

gotta say some people are always like oooo fëanor loved plain nerdanel because she was so soft and kind and patient and lovely to him and that’s what made her beautiful to him. ok well what if she wasn’t. what if she was impatient and irritable and jumped up during family dinner to go start work on a new sculpture. what if she spent days down there in her workshop covered in dust ignoring everyone. what if she wasn’t very maternal. what if she had a temper. what if she was a brilliant abrasive artist like he was. what if she wasn’t just a woman forced to mother a difficult man. what if instead their partnership was built off homophrosyne and that’s why they worked

Here's a little eldritch doodle dump featuring the Gondolin crowd! Something tempted me to draw Hurin and Huor with Turgon, which turned into a whole thing of their first meeting with the king to their last meeting at the Nirnaeth :''') The beautiful Glorthelion designs are by @ecthelioffd! <333
This was my first time designing eldritch Idril and Maeglin; Idril incorporates some Vanyar fashion into her layers, which I imagine are very frilly loll So when I finally get around to designing the Vanyar, they'll have lots of pretty frills and lace! hahaa
Hurin's kiss is also inspired by last year's Scribbles & Drabbles, where @misst1ff wrote a lovely fic of Hurin and Turgon based on Sir Gawain! They mentioned in the comments how it'd be nice for Turgon to get a final kiss before Huor dies andHurin is captured, and I really wanted to draw it, so here it is T_T

Alqualondë, the Haven of Swans, where the mansions and palaces were made of pearl, and the streets were lit by many lamps. This was the home of the Falmari, the Teleri who followed the Great Journey and reached Valinor. Their King was Olwë, and their ships were made in the shape of swans; with beaks of gold, and eyes of gold and jet. The gate of that harbor was an arch of living rock, carved by the sea, on the borders of Eldamar, to the north of the Calacirya. Where the light of the stars is bright and clear.
