10. IS THERE A PIECE OF YOUR CHARACTER'S CANON THAT YOU REFUSE TO ACCEPT ? : lmaooo... harry & ginny endgame<3 i'm kidding ! i mean i'm also not, but i want it on record, i always thought they'd end up together here, lol. i always knew harry was coming back in the finale and i always figured that barring whoever we had as harry not wanting to go there with them - which would've been more than fine ! - they were definitely set up for something. then emily came along with draco, then we fucked around with a really weird dynamic for them, then we joked a lot about the ship, then it stopped being a joke, suddenly, and somewhere along the way we ended up here.

i don't think there is, though. not for those three, at least, since i definitely have refused to accept things for other canons i have or have had or have, elsewhere ! especially not for ginny, who i feel i kept very aligned with her canonself, aside from letting her be a little more open minded ( though that feels more of an age thing than a drastic shift ). she still hates people, often viciously, usually because of their belief systems, & she's just a little more inclined to see positive change in unexpected places when people show positive change than i think book!ginny would've been. harry... i am still playing with. i, again, don't really look on his canon and see anything i even need to change or reinterpret. he just isn't that person anymore, and that doesn't mean all of that couldn't have happened exactly as it did, but it does mean that he gets to be someone brand new, here. i think for fleur the only things are the really minor shift of her not speaking in that terrible written french accent LMAO ( and that is just because i do not generally care for that ) and then also not putting her as a healer, which i'm not even sure is a 'canon' thing so much as a fanon thing. she's such a nothing character as it is, and i don't feel my changes break her character at all. they just. add something.

11. WHAT IS A HEADCANON YOU HAVE FOR [ MARIETTA, ASTORIA, FLEUR ] THAT YOU HAVEN'T POSTED ? : oh, this is hard, actually. it's hard to know what counts ! for fleur, my newest muse ( also the one who i still need to get general info out about ), i think i will just say her whole vibe. i haven't gotten much of a chance to go there yet, but fleur is very ... modern persephone takes coded, to me. she's someone who is so textbook beautiful, who has always been so connected to her femininity, if that makes sense, but who everyone sort of ... boxed up in one understanding of that, while in actuality, she's always been really drawn to the horrible & the disgusting & the totally bizarre, and being open & honest about that just wasn't really an option for her. it wasn't really taken seriously, and it's only as she got older - and faced marital problems & a huge aimlessness, prompting a job change - that she started getting the chance to revel in that, instead of hide it.

astoria & marietta are harder for me, because they feel so established in my mind. i get them. i think one for astoria is how autistic coded she is to me, and how much i've leant into that as i've played her, longer. for marietta ... that is a challenge. finding anything that feels 'new' or 'exciting' ? next to impossible. i'm drawing blanks !

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DYNAMIC TROPE TO WRITE ? : almost always it is siblings ! i loveeee siblings ! i love enemies to lovers greatly, as well as just like ... highly discouraged duo to lovers and i also. gotta say. if you guys couldn't work out, the super fucked up 'what the fuck is happening here ?' kinds of dynamics that niko fosters with everyone are my bread & butter, but i always fall back on a good strong sibling dynamic. a set of five psuedo siblings in a disney next gen rp were my very first world altering experience of tumblr rp wherein i made lifelong friends & learned the most about how to exist within the tumblr rpc and i think because of that, and all my very very fond memories of what that was like, that sort of family vibe will always be my favorite.

32. WHAT WERE THE LAST THREE SONGS YOU LISTENED TO ? : had to rush to youtube but if it's true by dónal finn ( uk hadestown ), cassandra by florence + the machine & paladin strait / the line / overcompensate ( visualizer ) by twenty one pilots !

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE BEST FACECLAIM DECISION YOU'VE MADE ? : this changes all the time<3 for myself, currently, i'm so happy with sobhita dhulipala for fleur delacour & chase sui wonders as marietta edgecombe ... i think sobhita being the most beautiful woman in the world actually does make sense, actually, and chase - especially in bodies bodies bodies, which was where this thought originally came to me from - has this like ... wounded vibe that just works for marietta, i think. i'll always love lorenzo zurzolo as peter pettigrew, i'll always think odessa a'zion is the perfect cordelia malfoy, too, for two plucked from our side groups. for the rp itself, i stand by lee pace xeno lovegood now more than EVER, and i think a lot of my weasley family castings are pretty god tier. then again, i am a biased, self obsessed source, so take from that what you will.

SOME NIGHTS by FUN : one of my original ginny anthems ! one of the ones i first associated with her ! sooooo many standalone lines and so much of me just listening to it over and over and deciding that it just had the perfect vibes for what i wanted, but i think my personal favorite part at this minute is 'ten years of this, i'm not sure if anybody understands. this one is not for the folks at home, sorry to leave, mom, i had to go. who the fuck wants to die alone all dried up in the desert sun?' it's hard for me to explain but that feels FUN to me as an association because it like. captures the same vibes i had for ginny when i started while also acknowledging the way that she changed, namely in how when i started writing her, she was so content with dying alone. she had decided that was what was going to happen because of harry dying, and i love that this song that i just thought kinda fit way back when can STILL fit her, now, with that idea of like... actually, who the fuck wants to die alone? who's dream is that?

COME AWAY TO THE WATER by MAROON 5 : this is one of the few songs i stuck on ginny's playlist that firmly belongs in the 'ginny in her first year' block that i always meant to make, separately, and never got around to. it's as simple as that 'come away little lamb, come away to the slaughter. to the ones appointed to see this through, we are calling for you'. i'm always really offended by how little ginny's trauma is explored within the series itself and then also how much it gets glossed over or ignored outside of it. i think that what she went through often gets seen as 'not as bad' as everything else that happened, when i think that a year of tom riddle in her head manipulating her thoughts and feelings and then trying to KILL her should be kind of like. important. to her. this is the song i always associated.

"what part of 'family friendly fun' was missed on you, lavender?" it's not meant to sound so rude. she's tired, sure - the bags beneath her eyes and the press of her lips into a miserable line tell a story of many, many consecutive nights of restless sleep - but ginny's too old, now, for this to be much of an excuse. she's distracted, too, casting a glance around the space like she's worried about what might jump out next, though no one can really blame her on that. halloween has never passed easily, after all. still, the half smile that she flashes doesn't do much to soften her tone, and ginny realises a moment too late, forcing her to backtrack almost instantaneously to tell her, "i mean, how scary do you think they're allowed to be, at something like this ?"

TURTLENECK / DO THEY TRUST PEOPLE EASILY? :  hm. difficult ! my instinct is to say 'less so, these days', but i also feel it is important to put on record that this is the second time ginny has gone on that particular journey. she was an overly trusting child, and then lucius malfoy slipped her a diary that put tom riddle in her head for a year, and she changed. it was a necessary adjustment, especially as the second war intensified. then that wrapped up ! emotionally, she was going through a lot, but she was also freed up - in a sense - to revert, a little bit, and in time she did. growing trusting again and seeing the good in people was a whole character arc, and that hard work she did has been really undone over the course of nox.

PUMPKIN PIE / WHICH FOOD ALWAYS MANAGES TO MAKE THEM HAPPIER? :  anything considered a molly weasley special ! the weasley's never had much when it came to new clothes or firsthand school supplies, but they never went hungry, and molly's homecooked meals remain one of ginny's biggest comforts - maybe bigger still by virtue of how rarely she gets to have them, since she moved out.
