      She feels it.  An absence of beating in her chest.  Maybe her heart has finally stopped.  Maybe it’s preparing itself for the deal that was made.

She wants to die, she sternly reminds, it’s too late to change the bargain now.  It can’t be undone and she is too prideful to try even so; this she knows.  It’s too late to want life.  It’s too late.

‘Remember,’ she thinks to herself, almost instinctually.  Easily, the sentiment is pushed away.  It’s not productive.  Now more than ever, she must be productive.  But again she hears it like, like some distant, taunting echo.

It knew.  It knew she would change her mind.  It knew she already had when it offered terms.  It knew she would suffer now.  It knew, and still she has nothing to show for the sacrifice.

She is left with only one thought now.

Rorik smirked. “In a coffin. Although, I wouldn’t consider my time inside it to be asleep. Entombed. Imprisoned. That nature.” He didn’t compound on the idea and instead let the lingering fragment of remembrance to drift off in the annals of his mind.

Rorik drew a weighty breath and contemplated his response, lips pursing as his tongue whipped thoughtfully against a capped-canine. “Yes. To say that I haven’t been compassionate with another is false. I love and have loved and both have left greater holes in my heart. That is why love is an evil, crooked thing.”

🔅: What’s a place that holds special meaning to them? Why?

Rorik remained uncharacteristically lax atop his cracked throne; plated digits idly supporting the crown which typically pins back his rows of wheat. “The desiccated carcass of my family’s estate remains to be one of the sites I hold in high-reverie. It’s there, in that dilapidated ground that I understand my true upbringing.” The crown shifted betwixt his digits, just so that his effervescent suns could inspect upon a minor detail that marked his finery. 

“Spoiled at birth. I could only blame myself for my timorous grounding. It only took death and ruin for me to realize my true meaning. Change extracts a doleful toll.” A strand of hair slipped from its row and displaced itself beyond an eye, to which Rorik dipped his visage in thought.

Positivity Call-out Post!

Below are a list of a few individuals that I either greatly hold dear to my heart and/or absolutely appreciate and admire!

First I would love to shout out to my bestest friend y mi pinche cabrona: @amaharette! Thank you so much for always being there through thick and thin and being my go-to girl for late night calls, writing, and drinking shenanigans! You've helped me through some tough times, I literally have no idea where I would be without you!

Another person I would l cannot help but mention is perhaps my longest RP partner for my sad lil bae and the biggest inspiration for her development: @theveiledprophet! Amora would be nowhere near as developed as she is without our engaging conversations and story sequences together, and honestly our stupid memery is something that will always make me laugh out loud in a quiet and crowded room.

A special shout-out to a more recent friend and RP partner in the making: @blacksorrow-wra! You are a wonderful friend as you are a writer and I am so happy to have met you and cannot wait to see where the Knight and the Nymph storyline goes!

To @safrona-shadowsun and all of your wonderful characters! Even though we do not personally write together I have always admired you close and far, and am floored at your ability to create such diversely unique characters! You are such an amazing person inside and out, and your art is just absolutely amazing!

@jinx4karma is literally one of the sweetest beans in the world! Visandri is one of my favorite nightborne ladies that I absolutely love seeing pop up in my feed and am happy to have made friends with you. It makes my happy lil heart skip a beat whenever you pop up on my feed and even when you take the time to check up on meee~

To @draenei-tales is another one on the list of being just an amazing bean all around. I love our shared and common interest in The Last Unicorn and that no matter what you are always there for all of your friends and your love for the community as a whole. Thank you for being such a beacon of light~

How could I ever forget this dang ol' dweeb @unabashedrebel! You're another person I've yet to personally write with but all the same you're just a wonderful friend that I've had the pleasure in confiding in as well as talking absolute dumb shit with. Our conversations never cease to amaze me!

To the ever spoopy @monster-of-master you and your writing are the absolute bees knees! Holy heck, it floors me your ability to create and your portrayal of Castinus. I will forever be intimidated by you and hope that some day we will be able to write together given the plot of WoW/BfA improves!

Another person that I've been a long time silent follower/friend of without having never actually written with until starting recently is @pewop. You are another writer that doesn't give yourself enough credit but I swear my dude your art is pure poetry. You're a derp OOC and your taste in whiskey sucks but that is okay, we are working on that.

@seilune you are such a sweetheart fr fr!! You really know how to keep warm peoples' hearts and I will always and forever love you and your OC, especially her lovely aesthetic! Thank you for always popping up on my feed and being so nice to me and everybody you interact with!

@dasacht/@thaneirstaer is another one of those people that are so warm and loving to their friends that I am also happy to have met fairly recently! Thane is such a thicc lovey boy that seriously gives the best hugs in the world and would probably kill anybody that harms his friends. Such a peach!

Last, and certainly not least is the ever-lovely @salt-water-siren. Your character aesthetic is another inspiration in that she is just so absolutely unique. I wish for Amora and Iyeris to meet more closely, as I think they would make a wonderful duo for some intriguing and dark writing! Thank you for always trying to be apart of the community with your writing prompts~

This is only but a few of the maaany people of this community that I adore beyond all measures, and through this I only hope to further spread happy and positive feels in a place that at times can be known for otherwise.
