happy pride month, y'all! i am a disabled + lgbt afro-indigenous person who just moved across the country to start a new life with my partner. health stuff has been really difficult and ive been constantly in and out of the hospital. i had to leave my previous state suddenly due to repeat sepsis, medical neglect/malpractice, and a need for tangible support and ive been unable to get back down to fully move out which means i have to keep up with expenses down there until i can. truly would appreciate any help y'all can give me - just trying to survive right now but hopefully will be able to thrive soon 🫶🏽🏳️‍🌈

A ruthless, scary mafia boss sitting behind his massive desk, talking crucial business and murder with his right hand man.

"Is that all?" He asks when it appears they've wrapped up everything.

"Well-" his most trusted friend and advisor scratches his jaw- "there's one more thing. But it's... weird."

"Weird? How?"

"Our street boys have picked up on some unusual rumor." He barely holds in his laugh. "Apparently some book club women in the area started gathering funds to, umm, kidnap you."

The Don stares at his friend, processing the ridiculous words.

"Excuse me?"

"Well, the word is that they plan to use the money to pay for professionals to kidnap, and I quote, the hot mafia boss and deliver him as a gift to their favorite writer."

Another silent moment stretches. Then the bubble burst when the man bursts out laughing.

The Don rolls his eyes.

He taps his fingers against the oak wood, pondering on something. Once his friend stops cackling like an idiot, he says calmly:

"Check me that writer."
