Les Misérables was perfect oh my heart Hugh Jackman why do you vex me oh gawd Russell Crowe was alright but he delivered a sustained performance and Anne Hathaway and Samatha Barks oh bless their faces the actor that played Marius was really cute and did the role justice but Colm Wilkinson Killian Donnelly and Hadley Fraser were brilliant for their little roles so I enjoyed that movie very muchly yes

Christines costumes: The Slavergirl
The Slavergirls  it’s the only time we see Christine in identical costume to the corps de ballet. The bodice consists of 10-12 alternating red and green velvet panels, heavily decorated with gold over the seams and in collar and belt. The rope skirts are made from a soft rope, In European versions Christine’s belt is merely attached with snap buttons, so it can be removed when the big Elissa skirt is added in “Think of Me”. In the US only the rows of beads are removable from the belt, so the actual rope skirt is sewn to the bodice and kept on under the dressing gown…more details.

Scariest Character in Phantom
Madame Giry… In the book she was my hero.
In the musical, everytime she bangs her cane I jump…
Everytime she says, “Meg Giry, are you a dancer?” I nod along with Meg.
SHOW SOME GIRY RESPECT!!

Head Cannon.  This is the moment in the book where Christine comes back for ‘him’ and it’s right before her and Raoul’s wedding and Nadir is outside the room guarding the door. And she’s like LET ME SEE YO FACE and she just wants to love him for ALL of him, including his face. So she reaches for his mask and peels it off and he nods because he finally accepts that she really does love him and then as the book says, she starts kissing his face blah blah blah
and then they had sex and then gustave and then Love Never Dies.

It was bound to happen sometime… I think the original London design for “Love Never Dies” has gotten an unnecessarily bad reputation. People, that design is not the reason why the musical flopped. The issues are in the storyline and the lyrics. However, the design could not cover up how bad the libretto was, as they managed to some degree in Australia. There they pulled a masterful “Razzle dazzle them” there and made the show into a “look, we managed to do something West End didn’t” musical.  One thing I liked about the London costumes, however, was how the designer Bob Crowley glanced at the original Bjørnson costumes and took elements of them into his own design. The original idea for LND seems to have been to echo the original production, both in structures of the numbers and the songs, and in production design. Much of this was changed in the first couple of months, and I don’t think the Auction/Overture like prologue made it to the stage at all (it can be heard in the CD, however). But the costume design didn’t changed, minus one or two puffy shirts for the Phantom, and I think it’s apparent they too tried to echo the original. Here are some examples:  1. The colour scheme and the dazzling glitter from Hannibal lives in the show costumes Meg and the other dancers wore in the opening scene after the overture.  2. Christine’s iconic white dressing gown over a glittering collar was echoed in LND. They were so similar few could tell the difference when John Owen Jones and Sierra Boggess performed the POTO title song, with Sierra in the LND dressing gown and wig. 3. In a way Fleck substituted for Meg since Meg had become the new Carlotta in LND. Maybe that’s why one of Fleck’s costumes resembled original Meg’s Masquerade costume a lot.  4. She’s gotten more poofed shoulders and a white drape in the neck/front. But Madame Giry has in large stayed the same.
