They watch him. Not in a sinister fashion, more curious. Finally breaking eye contact signals unease, checking over his shoulder possible fear of being followed or ambushed...

Should stop profiling, but it ticks away in the back of their mind. They decide to take the gamble and ask.

"'Re y' alright?"

"'Ey; Ren, right?" - Spades

"Mhm. That's me." He mutters, shaking slightly.

They shrug at the bag, keeping their body language open. Hands visible, shoulders relaxed, blink rate normal. A small, crooked smile crosses their face at his reaction to the pemmican.

"Y' can have tha' stuff if y' want, it lasts fer a long time which's th' best part 'bout it."

"'Ey; Ren, right?" - Spades

"Mhm. That's me." He mutters, shaking slightly.

They offer him the bag, using the moment to tie their hair into a low ponytail.

Spades pulls out a small bag, purposefully keeping their actions slow and methodical, eyes scanning Ren lightly. A small smile crosses their face when they see him drink. Good.

They pull out a dark brown bar, one that smells of smoke and cooked game.

"'Ey; Ren, right?" - Spades

"Mhm. That's me." He mutters, shaking slightly.

Rather than say anything else right away they pull out a water bottle. Spades reaches out rather than move towards Ren, keeping their hands visible and feet secure. Profiling highlights unease right away which helps them a lot.

"I got th' pemmican but also got some ot'er stuff as well if y' prefer."

They shrug, eyes watching and scanning. Silently profiling; can't stop the learned inside them as Spades grows worried about the young killjoy standing in front of them.

"Situation normal, all fucked up."

As if that should be normal, but Spades shrugs it off and grabs their bad from their shoulder. "D'you wanna water?"

They climb out of their old cavalier, coming to a stand. As they greet Ren they try to push their shoulders together and appear smaller.
