The pages are all about curiosity and discovering their element. In this case the swords. The swords represent intellectualism, communication, knowledge, thinking, growing of the mind. We immediately saw a picture of a younger Erik, sharpening his mind and discovering that although people seem to find his appearance revolting, his unique mind and intelligence is appreciated (and unfortunately used, but that is another story). He learns to design, build and use his extraordinary mind for great things. Trying new skills and talents is also something for the Pentacles, but we felt that in Persia he really learns to use his mind.

For the #TeamRaoul people or those who simply feel Raoul and Christine should be on the Lovers card 😍 This bonus card will come with our Phantom of the Opera Tarot deck, so you can choose which one you want to use in your deck. Did you spot the Phantom by the way? ;) Inspiration for this card was a combination of the Lovers card from the famous #WaitSmith tarot deck and the #MarseilleTarot.

We are so happy with the result of the Queen of Cups card. The suit of cups being all about emotions, feelings and love & compassion…and the Queen nurturing these qualities. We felt this was perfect for this card....what do you think?

For the the Magician we chose Christine’s father, Gustave Daaé. Because he was her whole world. Taught her everything about life and music. In her eyes he could do everything. Master anything. He was her Magician.

Ahh…the Lovers. The magic that happens when two opposites meet each other. We see Christine in front of the mirror who willingly lets herself be taken away by the dark, masked man whose voice has seduced her. Her reflection in the mirror is now one image combined with the Phantom. It appears as if they are behind each other. He has shown himself for the first time….And there is a starting sexual tension. Christine has discovered a dark, but enchanting love in Erik….

Christine is about to embark on a new journey; following the Phantom through the mirror and with it discovering a whole array of new feelings.
The suit of cups, the water element, is about feelings, emotions & creativity. The page is about discovering everything the suit has to offer. In this case her creativity and feelings of love and inspiration but also eroticism.
This is the Page of Cups from Phantasma's Phantom of the Opera tarot that we are currently creating.

Whilst writing his new opera in box 5, Erik is unaware of the two girls who are secretly rehearsing on the main stage. Meg behind the piano and Christine on the stage. But as she starts singing, Erik is taken by surprise, such a voice..... By the time the song is done he is completely overcome with feelings. This is the perfect intstrument, the jewel he has been waiting for....and she is so, so beautiful. He is unsure what to do now.
The suit of cups, the water element, is about feelings, emotions & creativity. The ace can represent the start of something or in this case; the start of the journey of Erik & Christine, her creativity and his feelings. The is the Ace of Cups from Phantasma's Phantom of the Opera tarot that we are currently creating.
Oh and yes; we looked up pictures of the Opera Garnier what the view from box 5 looks like. We hope you enjoy it :)

Presenting: major arcana card: XIX - The Sun. This one is about joy, radiance and fulfilment. Christine's radiant performance fills everyones heart including her own. The stage is truly the space where she feels best. She is happiest performing. It also makes her feel close to her childhood and her father; a safe and warm creative playground.

Presenting: major arcana card: XVIII - The Moon 🌙 This one is about fear & illusions. What is real and what is not? Erik’s fears are being shown here. He is afraid that he truly is a monster. But is he? Christine shows him another side. Or is this a fantasy? The light of the moon remains a mystery!

The Star means, amongst other things, hope. It shines so bright and shares all kinds of good from the universe. Christine shines for her audience, captivating not only them but Erik, too. This is our version of card XVII, The Star.

The wands, marked by a red curtain, since it is the element of fire. This is 9 of Wands: The Phantom has seen and heard Christine and Raoul on the roof (8 of Wands) and is heartbroken. What to do now?
This card will be in our Phantom of the Opera Tarot, that we are currently busy developing. Give us a follow for more progress :)

Our reversible backside of the tarot deck. Since the deck is quite colorful we chose for a black and white backside. It features the stairs of the opera house with Christine and the halls below with the Phantom.

In this famous scene from Phantom of the Opera book by Gaston Leroux (and a brief moment in the 2004 movie), we see the Persian and Raoul in a rather big predicament in the Phantom's torture chamber. Grower more hot by the minute, seemingly the only way out is the noose coming down from the ceiling. In this maze of mirrors it is hard to know where you are. One is truly trapped. Can you see the 8 swords?
