*cracks knuckles* Okay so... Let me tell you all about my beloved Hairo (obviously huge spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't read the Rengoku spin-off)
Our story begins with a member of the legendary Shinsengumi in the late 1800s. He and his comrades believed in the way of Bushido, and thus trusted his sword over the guns of the opposing side in the civil war. Of course that... didn't end well. Still, even after having his body riddled with bullets, losing his friends and being mocked by his enemies, he bravely tried to make one last stand (it didn't work out). The trauma of this caused Hairo to almost completely (more on that later) discard swords as a demon, turning to guns and rifles of all kinds instead.
Having become a demon instead of dying, probably because Muzan was lurking around and took pity on him or something, he soon faced another challenge at the hands of none other than Rengoku Sr. The Flame Hashira, who was tormented by the recent death of his wife, found Hairo and tortured him It's implied he eventually got bored and left Hairo without even executing him
Hairo was canonically left with PTSD from the encounter. He suffered intrusive thoughts about the man named Rengoku and what happened and had emotional flashbacks so intense that the only way he found to get some momentary relief was to shoot his own brains out with a gun. His desire for revenge became such an obsession that he climbed his way up to the rank of Lower Moon 2, all in the hopes of getting payback against Rengoku someday
Also his entire character is.... extremely tragic and nostalgic. "Hairo" is written with the characters for "wearing a sword" and "wolf" (the Shinsengumi were also called "the Wolves of Mibu"). His blood demon art involves shadow wolf familiars, among other things. He collects the sword handles of the slayers he killed, and right before his death he picks up a katana, acknowledges Rengoku Jr (having realized that he's not the man he was looking for) as a true man of the sword, and they face off in a final duel - showing that Hairo was the same honorable samurai he'd always been, it was just buried underneath the trauma and demonic nature.
Plus he's smart, methodical, careful, a great fighter, and not blinded by arrogance like so many demons are. He's just very lovable.
Ooooooh, an excellent explanation! OvO Thank you for filling me in, anon! Hairou sounds delightful, and I'm definitely going to have to look into him more. Poor thing has plenty of trauma to work with...

When I was little, I used to go over to my aunt's house, sit in the middle of her couch, shout, "Dog pile!" and five or six pittie-lab mixes would come over and cuddle with me. Imagine a little six-year-old just covered with these warm soft bodies, some falling asleep and others hooking her hands with their paws so she'd continue petting them.
What if something like that happened with Hantengu + Hantengu's clones (including Zohakuten) via Pet!Au?
Awwww, that's adorable!! The whole set would have to be in a much better physical/mental state than their Pet Au defaults, but in a happier home, yep, that cuddle pile could happen~ :3c It's probably a comforting arrangement for them, too, considering that the clones would have resorted to something similar in their early days in the cage... as in, before they started getting violent with each other.

I made a Janitorai bot based on my fic, "Dearly Discarded" The profile picture for this bot was also drawn by me! Keep in mind that this is an ai bot and sometimes it may say crazy things. If it says something strange just refresh the message. I tried my best to make this bot as accurate as possible but of course I cannot fit the entire contents of a fanfiction into a bot. However, I tried my best to create the universe in a way that the ai can comprehend. This bot can be used by anyone and will address you by your pronouns if listed in your persona.
I hope you all enjoy using this bot! I'd love to see how your conversations with him go, so feel free to share or publish your chats on Janitor ♡

Headcannons request:
Imagine tiny Hantengu living in the walls of an old farmhouse like a scared little mouse, living off the actual mice, and then getting caught in a mousetrap. Next thing he knows the owner (you) of the house (which is basically in the middle of nowhere) says they'll allow him to conrinue living in the house if he takes care of the pest problem. Otherwise, owner will leave wisteria-laced traps instead of mousetraps, and toss little Hantengu out into the winter snow. And no amount of begging, cowering, or lying gets the poor demon anywhere with this no-nonsense, cold-hearted human.
"Be grateful I'm allowing you to live here at all, with all that annoying scratching in the walls that's way too loud for a mouse."
The moment the mousetrap snaps closed on him, Hantengu is fearing the worst. He's truly panicked by the time you find him, and he's only injured himself worse by trying to wriggle free of the trap. Being found by a human is the worst possible outcome; he's stayed hidden for this long because he knows how worthless he is, and what will surely happen if he's caught. Even when you free him from the trap and pick him up, he's begging and cowering and shaking so badly that he's bound to make himself sick. All he can think is that you're going to kill him now— and he's so deep in his terror that the offer to let him stay barely registers, at first.
Even when he's trying his best to be more efficient in hunting the pests, Hantengu is annoying to have around. There's no end to the scratching in the walls, he keeps stealing small items to nest with, and his miserable muttering seems to never stop. He'd be less insufferable kept as a proper pet— that way, you'd at least have him more grateful to you than perpetually cowering and afraid.

Hello! I really love your writing! Since the kny requests are open, can I request Kny Pet AU hcs for Hantengu's clones (the main 4) ? It's up to you if you want to add nsfw stuff, i don't mind🌸
I've been issued a challenge, I see. XD I really didn't care about these guys until I started really thinking about their characters, but now I'm getting kind of invested...
(Shout-out to @krystalwithakay, who helped with this one~)
. . .
General/Group
• In this setting, the four of them are more like brothers than clones; at the very least, the "original" isn't around anymore. They were too much for their original owner to handle, so they wound up locked away in an overcrowded cage and left to fight over whatever minimal scraps of food and care they received. This did not do their mental states any good— before long, they devolved into constant squabbling and competition, to the point where restraints quickly become necessary to prevent further harm.
• By now, all four of them are half-feral and extremely difficult to handle. Nearly impossible to get close to, they're dangerously aggressive with humans, other demons, and each other; and being kept constantly starved, restrained, and agitated has done absolutely nothing to help that. The concept of a better life is always out of reach, leaving all of them hopeless and miserable.
Sekido
• He's been used in fights before (as one attempt at finding some use for him), and the results are messy. Without enough food and rest to heal properly, Sekido's body is covered in scars and old, poorly healed injuries. The extensive damage results in near-constant pain— and always feeling hurt and threatened only makes him more aggressive. He lashes out like a cornered animal, responding violently to everything because he can only anticipate more pain. A lot of his outward anger is a defensive mechanism.
• All of that rage usually hurts him more than anyone else. Sekido is so tense that it becomes an extra strain on his body; he struggles until he's worn down what little spare energy he had, to begin with, and his unfortunate habit of fighting restraints until he messes up his body too badly to keep going is responsible for a fair amount of his scars. And yet, there's no making himself stop. He's reactive to the point of being unable to control it anymore.
Karaku
• He's been used for sex before, with a very specific condition to keep him from mauling anyone who tries. Karaku has an odd, unintentional reaction to any kind of physical pleasure— his brain all but shuts off completely, leaving him pliant and non-aggressive until the response wears off. Thus, if he's drugged or handled just enough to make him shut down, he's plenty easy to use. The brief respite from misery, even if it means being put through such unpleasant handling, is too much of a temptation for him to care.
• It's easy for him to grow addicted to anything that makes him feel good, even if the aftermath is worse. Karaku has some highly escapist tendencies, where if he gets any chance to stop thinking and feel something other than pain, he gets desperate for it. He knows by now that most humans won't ever offer that sort of thing, though, and is every bit as aggressive and volatile as the other three until some possibility of pleasure arises.
Aizetsu
• In a constant state of misery, he's reached a point of barely being able to do more than lie around and wait for someone to finally decide he's better off dead. By now, Aizetsu doesn't have any hope left for himself (or any of the rest of them), and his naturally pessimistic nature doesn't help that. Crying himself sick only adds to how awful he feels— and he's most often too caught up in his negativity to respond to much of anything. He's the only one who (mostly) stays out of the four's constant fights.
• Aizetsu is prone to semi-accidental self-harm; tearing gashes in his skin from clawing at himself in distress, biting and chewing his fingers until they bleed, and making himself physically ill from sheer stress. However, he's also unconsciously drawn to self-comforting behaviors in any form that he can get. He lacks enough appetite or will to live to make himself fight for whatever scraps they're all given, so his body is weak and wasted away.
Urogi
• He's way too high-strung for his own good, and far too easily overexcited. Urogi is the one who keeps getting his hopes up over every little sign that anything good might happen... and suffering all the more for it when those hopes are inevitably crushed. He's always agitated and fidgety, and tends to pull at his restraints well past the point of blood just because he can't stay still. Thanks to his utter lack of volume control, he's often kept in a sound-triggered shock collar just so he'll be less of an annoyance.
• Urogi's wings were once cut off as a way of trying to make him easier to contain. They grew back soon enough, but his poor living conditions meant that the regrowth didn't happen how it should. He's incapable of flight in his current state, with near-constant pain from the poorly healed limbs. They only become more unbearably uncomfortable when the feathers molt, which is a process awful enough to put even him in a miserable mood.

Since Douma reburrows his emotions once the heat is over, does how you treat him during his heats have any subconscious effects on him once they are over? Or does everything just go back to "normal" whether he is treated kindly or beaten?
Douma thoroughly suppresses the "experienced feelings and hated it" part of his heats once they're done, but that doesn't mean his memory of them is a total blank. He'll remember whether you were gentle or rough with him, if the same things happened that usually do, or if he was merely left alone to wait it out. Since he's incapable of being distressed by anything that was done to him during that blurry period, Douma doesn't think too much about it... aside from any potentially useful details, that is. Manipulative brat behavior.

Oo how about some HCs for Douma, Daki, & Akaza when their owner eats them out for their heats instead of using them? Just laying them out in soft blankets that smell like reader, and then letting them hug (or bite and claw) a pillow while we lavish their holes with attention
I'm assuming this is for Pet Au~ ;3
. . .
Douma
He's absolutely shameless about how much he's enjoying it... to the point where you'll need to worry about noise complaints. Thanks to the sudden rush of emotional response that his heats bring, Douma is a little fragile, and the spoiling attention leaves him somewhere between empty-headed with bliss and seconds away from sobbing into the pillow you let him hold. He wants to be held and petted almost as badly as he needs this form of touch, and the conflicting desires just make him needier.
Daki
She's plenty used to having her heats satisfied with sex, but what you're doing is different. The people who handled her before were never gentle— while your touch is tender and agonizingly slow. Daki starts out kicking her heels against your back and begging you to hurry up, but she soon devolves into whimpering and shaking, her face buried in the pillow to muffle the needy little noises. And all the while, she's tentatively hoping that you'll let her cuddle up to you and be held once this part is over.
Akaza
He can't stay still at all. What you're doing is the last thing anyone else would have bothered with, and the deliberate intent to make him feel good is almost too much to process... especially when he's already delirious, desperate, and oversensitive from the heat. The pillow he's holding is shredded within the first minute of you eating him out. He'd be kicking you away on reflex if he could make his body move, but instead, the warmth against his skin just leaves him all the more limp and pliant for you to spoil.

Find it funny that muzan in the pet AU doesn't know about technology due to being Isolated for such a long time. Like imagine given this dude an iPad and turning it on for him. Just a though I wanted to share with you. This is AU is both extremely excruciating and funny at the same time. Thanks for making it
Yesss!! Muzan and the horrors of modern technology is SUCH a fun concept, especially in Pet Au's extra-cruel context. XD
He's seen glimpses of developing technology throughout his time in confinement, but nowhere near enough to have a clear idea of how advanced human devices have become— a tablet would be nothing short of mystifying, and not in a good way. I think Muzan would be deeply distrustful of modern-day technology, and disturbed by how little of it he understands. It makes him feel even more acutely what a disadvantage he's at against humanity by now, and he despises that.

Pet au muzan being introduced to artificial sunlight! Like from lamps. They are not like actual sunlight... it would be pretty fun if they were still unpleasant.
When he first hears artificial sunlight, Muzan has never been more terrified. Of all of the things to come about in the modern world, that has to be the worst. He doesn't know if it'll kill him or not, but that's a threat that he doesn't want to take a chance on. Yet, of course, the people who own him aren't so merciful. Since it's been tested on other demons and is "safe" (not that Muzan knows that), they try it just to see how he'll panic.
Even before the light turns on, Muzan is ready to beg. The demons made from him don't have the same weakness to sunlight anymore, but his still remains. Without knowing what's going to happen, he's quickly slipping into a meltdown— and he knows that no amount of pleading will earn him any mercy. And it doesn't. The light turns on, and agony unlike anything Muzan has experienced before hits him. It's not fatal, thankfully, but the pain and blinding glow are so unpleasant he spends a split second wishing it was. If this is what it feels like to burn, he has all the more reason never to stop out of line and earn that fate.
They only turn the light off when he's near tears, after a good few minutes of torturing him under it. This kind of light is now another thing that can be used to keep him under control.

What is Zenitsu's backstory in the Pet AU? I feel like there is no way for someone to become the way he is without something traumatic happening to them early in life
I generally try to leave the backstories in Pet Au fairly open, since having some flexibility with the traumatic details allows for more freedom in requests, fics, and such~ ;3c
That said, I think that Zenitsu would have spent a good portion of his early life either as a stray or in a deeply neglectful home, and has likely been passed between a number of different owners who didn't care to interact with him much, and didn't keep him for long. Sharing a home with Kaigaku at some point also sounds appropriate— of course, with all the resentment, inferiority issues, and tension that entails.

In the KnY Pet AU, are show demons a thing? Competitions where they are judged on appearance, skills, etc. If so, who do you think would be entered in them?
Yep, show demons would indeed be a thing! Both appearance-based shows (either for standardized breeding or unusual/"freakish" traits) and behavioral/performance competitions would be plausible for this Au, though they're likely fairly niche attractions— meaning, not as widespread as dog shows and such.
As for who could be involved in them, hmm... Gyokko would definitely do well in the shows that feature bizarre mutations, Kokushibou is as "exceptional-quality purebred demon" as it gets, and Kyoujurou (plus his dad and brother) could be good for the obedience/performance-type shows, perhaps???
Those are the ones that come to mind first~ o3o

Was up late what do you think would happen if you actually kept muzans head underwater like in that one fic. He cant die so he just drowns even more? ;3 *also ive never watch demon slayer so idk if this has been addressed
As far as I'm aware, no amount of drowning could actually kill a demon, so... yep, it just keeps going. >A> With the drastically weakened physical state Muzan was in at that point in the fic taken into account, I think he would have drifted in and out of semi-consciousness for as long as the drowning continued— his body would keep trying to cough up the water he's inhaled, but since it can't properly fix itself while the damage is still ongoing, he's just stuck in that state of alive, technically, until the damage stops.

omg! Could you tell us some of your thoughts on Perospero? I feel like he’s awfully unpopular even though his character is very interesting :(
I would absolutely love to have you torture him at some point, everything you write is just amazing <3
Peros is cute!!! :D He's so neurotic and miserable lmao, like Linlin's stress-aggressive pursedog. I strongly doubt she's married him off yet, either, despite being the oldest of the family; his personality would uhhh... definitely be a bit of an issue. That, and he'd probably have a nervous breakdown if he had to live away from his mom.
As for the torture part, that's happening already! His chapter of the Special Handling fic is in progress rn, and you're welcome (encouraged, really) to ask about that on @kxizoku-ou! Or send in a request for him, while they're open there~ ;3c
