It’s strange for people to come into her bakery so close to closing– strange enough she’s left flailing slightly with a half saran-wrapped cake in one hand, and a ball of bread dough for the next day in another, squeaking slightly when the bell on the door to her shop rang, twenty minutes before closing.

“Oh! I am so, so sorry! Please give me just a few minutes and I’ll be with you!”

And then she’s staggering back behind the counter, nearly tripping over her own feet, normally calm features twisted in something between surprise and panic. Making it successfully behind the display case and counter without dropping her things, or breaking and ankle, the Italian woman sets her items down with a sigh, shoulders slumping, before a bright, clearly meant for customer service, smile lights up her face.

“Hi, welcome to La Dimora, how can I help you? Looking for something in particular?”

     He acknowledge her words with a nod. Perhaps this was not the most convenient time to drop in this foreign store. But Yoshikage Kira marched to the beat of his drum. Plus it was the uncommon occasion where he was feeling adventurous and peckish for something out there. His eyes glanced around the establishment. It seemed that the woman had herself quite a wide array of sweets. No doubt inspired from wherever she came from. Perhaps she could excuse him for arriving shortly before closing time with some funds.     “Hmm-” Curled slender figures lean against his chin as he browses through the selection that was offered on display. He then looked back the woman. “Is there any that you would recommend to me?”
