If the crew of the zephyr end up being the founders of Zood or some shit im gonna fucking lose it. What do you mean theres a giant fucking statue of Comfrey under the sea at the fallen temple of Katur, thousands upon thousands of years old? What do you mean that the founder of the Bank of Fehujar looks exavtly like Bert? What do you mean Mordecestershire is way way older than when they fought him and hes holding way more grudges and hes way more magical? What do you mean the founders of Oda were incredibly dedicated to doing things the natural and right way, a philosophy that Monty deeply believes in? What do you mean Tabira City is considered a Rowdy city, and Max and Van loved it there so much? What do you mean Ludmilla exists outside of time and space (and is probably the queen of Zern or something)?

some things to know about seeking asylum, and being a refugee, as the vitriol continues to ramp up.
under the 1951 convention of refugees, you cannot "illegally" seek asylum. you have the right to be in a country, until a decision is made.
in every country i know, you must have entered the country to seek asylum. you cannot seek asylum from a country you are not in.
therefore, this means, you have to either enter the country through non-conventional channels [e.g., migration via boats] or enter the country under false pretences [e.g. lying on your visa application by stating you are coming for "tourism".] furthermore, due to how getting a visa works, many people who desperately need safety, will never have the funds to get a visa, or may be denied entry. this is no fault of their own.
there is an immense burden on you to "integrate", and no real pressure for countries to help you do so. this is a local example, but home office has been repeatedly informed that different dialects of Arabic are not mutually intelligible, and translators should be provided with the same dialect. this does not happen.
a lot of refugees have complicated feelings about both their home countries and the countries they have sought asylum from. this is not "bad".
to get refugee status, you must continually demonstrate all your vulnerable moments, and how much they have affected you to strangers. there is a lack of privacy, and it takes a toll on you quickly. i would have liked to not narrate the worst parts of my life. i would have liked if there wasn't an expectation for me to not get emotional about it.
refugees have dreams and aspirations and families and jobs they like and money and wealth they might have left and people do not realise, how much people are willing to sacrifice for safety.
we are human too.
as always, if you have questions about asylum seeking, being a refugee, my experience, and so on and so forth, my inbox is always open. personal questions included 👍🏽 don't worry about getting invasive.
if you have spare money, and want to help a refugee begin to rebuild his life, help me here :)

ive been embroidering for nearly half my life and it still blows my mind how cheap it is as a hobby tbh. it can be as expensive as you want to make it, sure. I've definitely invested in nicer tools when I had the finances to do so. But relatively compared to other hobbies it's kinda nuts that a splurge on materials is like. 9 bucks for a pack of some of the fanciest needles you can buy. Silk thread for 6 dollars. The industry gold standard thread is the stuff already available at every single craft store in the USA. If you follow exacting patterns that require a lot of color changes it can add up, but those are often projects that require weeks or months of work. Let's say you had 50 color changes and the project uses most of each skein. That's months of hobby-ing right there, for about 50 dollars plus the cost of base materials which is under 10 dollars.

i think when we used to point out that a story didn't need a sex scene what we meant was "this story reduces its women to mere sex objects and gives them no interiority so the sex scenes are gratuitous and geared towards the male gaze" it wasn't the sex that bothered us per se it was the objectification of female characters while givig them little to no consequence to the overall story but nowadays people mean "sex is icky and gross and has no merit to ever be portrayed in our arts which should be good and pure and never ever make ME feel discomfort" and it's like. i bet a bowl of unfrosted flakes looks real good to you rn

I think "they don't even have X" is one of those memes that's actually funnier in its original context than in anything that's been done with it subsequently. Like, in its original context, this is a joke about a man who has lived his entire adult life alone in a swamp cold-reading the atmosphere of a corporate workplace and deciding that appealing to the receptionist's sense of working-class solidarity is going to get him in the door, and it fucking works.
