Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.
Based on a photo from this post, which reminded me that Ketterdam is based on early 1900s Amsterdam, so photography is possibly a thing. The idea of Kaz and Inej getting a photo taken when they're older is just very precious to me.
"She felt his knuckles slide against hers. Then his hand was in her hand, his palm was pressed against her own. A tremor moved through him. Slowly, he let their fingers entwine."
Why are we not talking more about the fact that Kaz Brekker knows his girl's clothing sizes?
Like this is one of the funniest and most adorable scenes for me.
Its also surprising and yet not surprising at all..cause its Kaz. What else were we expecting 😂
Inej says last time they did this, he got her a man's uniform. And you can just imagine that he can't have Inej bring it up again and again so he goes ahead and just learns her sizes. He won't take any more complains from her 😆
