my first anime was, in fact, sailor moon, and OP can shut the fuck up. Assuming it was a cartoon was correct. Anime is cartoons. Anime is cartoons.

i did not live through this bullshit in the early 00s only to go through it again in the 2020s. 

Anime was already rising in popularity in the late 90s -- not just Sailor Moon and DBZ, but Cowboy Bebop, Ronin Warriors, and Gundam Wing. Magic Knight Rayearth and Carcaptor Sakura. Pokémon came to our shores then as well.

So yes, for me it was Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon was what I searched on AOL and Google in 1998. I knew all about seasons 3-5 long before they were dubbed. A lot of us did. And my predecessors? They had Ranma 1/2, Robotech, Dirty Pair, Bubblegum Crisis...

So no. Not Death Note. As noted above, it didn’t even exist when I got into anime. Nor did the manga tbh. Don’t make assumptions.

Everyone’s starter anime is death note.

I don’t count sailor moon or dbz cuz you watched those as a kid and assumed they were cartoons.

I mean when you got “into��� anime fully aware of what it was and actually became immmmmmersed in this bizarre weeb culture.

I’m a huge fan of the horror genre, from books to movies to art, so when @pocketseizure asked me to draw a comic showing how horrifying Hyrule is in Ocarina of Time I was more than happy to work on it. Despite the horror scenes, I wanted to do something really colourful, just like Ocarina of Time that is filled with bright colours and undeads.
