Basic assets are available in the public version, with color variants, extra buildings, and additional objects and terrain available to patrons.What a juggernaut of a project. 

I kept adding more and more bits and bobs to this pack until it grew to 130+ components, not counting the base and terrain pieces, but I feel comfortable releasing it now. I hope you all enjoy it and using it as a resource to create whatever towns, keeps, or castles you need for your table. 

I really enjoyed making this set, and I think I’ve achieved my goal of making a kit for DMs to make a custom medieval town in a layout they desire, that also looks a little more interesting and immersive than the typical top-down one. I’d like to make more packs of features to expand on this type of map, with a variety of features and styles, so please let me know if that’s the sort of thing you’d like to see.

Flying sky castle battlemap! Use this as a hub for your players or break in as a heist. Check out all the variations, including the night version, at our Patreon.

We’ve made day and night variations but the rest of the variations are additional floors to be used. The full castle is 7 floors in total. At the bottom you can see which floors are available to which tiers.

Each corner tower has a spiral staircase for mobility around the castle. If you’re planning on running a heist we recommend stationing guards at different staircases on each floor to force the players to path through the rooms. This also means the floors are modular so you can order them as you like.

Planning a heist? Here’s some ideas: dress up as serpents by breaking into their rooms and stealing their clothes. Poison some food at give it to the guards, king or dragon. Convince the dragon to stop powering the boilers to cause chaos (or just throw something between the cogs). Steal the keys from the guards room to get around the castle. Looking for something to steal? We’ve littered the castle with the king’s prized possessions so you’ve got plenty to lure players in with.

For those parties who don’t have a wizard to teleport them inside of the castle or a steed to carry them to the top, no worries! We’ve also included a version where the castle is docked so you can sneak in whilst the coast is clear.

Next on our tour is.. a hill, oooooo. This aged hill is as tall as it is old, and it’s completely jam-packed with mystical fairy god-goblins. Rumor has it that if you can solve these spritely little dudes’ 3 riddles they’ll grant you a stabbing in the kidneys. Keep your limbs in the wagon folks we’re going to book it as we pass, and please don’t make eye contact.

The orchard was once one of the beautiful underground fruit gardens of the Lost City, but now a large beast keeps its lair there in the tunnels under the orchard.

A staple of any village, the local farmers spend all year growing, threshing, and storing bales of hay for the lean times of winter, and these locations often make attractive dens for wildlife, travelers, bandits, or perhaps the odd pair of fraternizing peasants taking a pleasant tumble. Regardless, a band of adventurers might need to stop and rest, pass the night under a roof, or stop some extortionists from burning the local wheat supply to the ground.

It may not be the flashiest of locations, but even such pedestrian buildings need battlemap representation from time to time, and I thought it was about time I put one together. I hope you find a use for it :)
