so i had all these lofty ambitions of a full rolling girl animation with lyfrassir and uhhhh that didnt. happen. cause this is forty three frames and it took almost six fucking hours

maybe someday eventually that will happen but. it. wont now

this is also going up on my insta! where it will also have all the intermediary steps like the bit where lyf was a blue blob with a bunch of orange lines (edit: it will no longer have all the intermediary steps because instagram hates gifs for no clear reason)

hi this is my fic! i am barely ever on tumblr on this account, but someone sent me this post, so-- the fic (i think) these tags are talking about is the first part of my series exeunt (each linked) and it does involve half-jotun lyfrassir (with a tail!)

bc im genuinely curious if you have any reason for this. and i have no clue how to word this and it may sound a bit rude (sorry!) BUT

So u have ur lyf design right???? blue sparkly (has a tail!) and then??? the train gang. they look closer to humans then lyf does. and like!!!! i love their designs so very very much but i need to know if theres a reason!!!!! have a lovely day :]

its actually all just because i read a fic (which i will have to try & find so i can link it abdjfjf) that had the hc that Lyf was a Jotun/Jötunn (the ice giants from norse mythology) & i thought that was the most galaxy brained take of all time & immediately went nuts with my own take on what that would look like! (combined with another fic i read where Lyf has a tail, which is also *chefs kiss*)

so basically theyr just another species that lives in midgard!! I realized later that making Loki a Jötunn or half Jötunn too would have been absolutely perfect but id already mostly finished coloring her & i was too committed…

so heres a lazy recolor of Jötunn! Loki 🤲🏻

did my best! i have literally none experience with drawing mecha before (and minimal experience with metal) so this was a little tricky :0

for fanart purposes, how tall is kismet? and where's her cockpit/connpod/wherever the pilot sits? (if you have those details ironed out! if not no worries ofc!)

KISMET’s maybe 5-6 storeys tall, which is larger than most of the Armour that Byron and his friends discovered. But she’s unique, whereas most of the others are a standard model with a few variations, coming to about 2/3rds of KISMET’s height.

The control pod’s entirely in the head, which allows the internal control rig to right itself like a ball bearing, keeping the pilot upright whether she’s standing on the ground, hovering, flying horizontally, banking sharply or even rolling.

As you can see, she’s a little insectoid, like a dragonfly or butterfly. Her primary aerofoils and gunlances lock together in flight and separate when grounded. Missiles on her back. She’s not a melee-oriented mecha, so there’s no Gundam-style sword or anything. None of them really do that sort of thing.
