Tumblr's Gone What Do You Do?

I've been thinking about starting up a new tumblr blog (about my new digicam obsession) but I always wrestle with the fact of do I want to build in someone's else's playground.

It got me thinking if Tumblr went away today where would I go? What are your post Tumblr plans?

Assume for sake of argument that Tumblr could go away.

It's Monday morning you wake up and go to check your feed and you get a nice message how Tumblr is dead. What do you do?

For me, I could easily switch over to WordPress but then I miss out on that community atmosphere. Twitter hasn't been good to me in the past and most of my posts are text based so Instagram doesn't make a lot of sense. Maybe Facebook but that just seems sad.

Go Mug Yourself

Did I get your attention? I need your help. I'm bored and I want something to do. I decided it might be fun to make my own coffee mugs. I'm not an illustrator but I want to learn more about graphic design. Anyway I got some books on typography and I want to try my hand at it.

You are probably thinking, cool story bro what's that have to do with us? Here is where you come in. I need ideas. Wacky crazy ideas of words or phrases that would be fun to see on a mug. Think of something that you'd never find in a store but you'd love to have.

What's Next?

Checkmarks were so stupid and fun but I'm bored of them now. I want to create the next generation of badges and I thought why not create them together.

Give me your best ideas and I'll get them designed up. The stupider the better. If you aren't embarrassed about seeing them next to your name you aren't thinking cringe enough.

Maybe I'll turn the best suggestions into pins or something. I'll leave it up to you all what to do with them.
