It’s a green tea version of the affogato, which is vanilla ice cream from Naganuma Ice Creamery together with matcha green tea. If we used clear cups, we’d be able to show you a beautiful graduation. But we want to use as little plastic as possible - so it’s built in a kraft (double wall paper) cup. Rocky Road (English To Follow) ロッキーロードは、アメリカのイメージかもしれませんが、最も古い記述はオーストラリアだそうです。 開拓期のオーストラリアで金鉱地帯に行くための”岩だらけの道”に由来します。 ロッキーロードはオーストラリアでは、昔ながらなチョコバーとして人気があります。 少しジャンクなイメージのチョコバーですが、チョコバーが大好きな私たちは、素材にこだわって、 プレミアムなチョコバーにアップデートしました。 チョコレートは、フランスのバローナ。ドライフルーツとナッツ。 そして、自家製のショートクラストと自家製マシュマロを入れました。 自家製のマシュマロは本当に美味しくて、これが本当のマシュマロだとすると今まで食べていたマシュマロはなんだったのだろうと思ってしまいます。 Rocky Roadはコーヒーのベストパートナーです。 北海道夕張郡長沼町銀座北１丁目５−２(農協さんの２軒隣です) 定休日:火水 10:00~16:00 Rocky Road Although to some Rocky Road has American or British roots, the earliest description actually comes from Australia. The name originally referred to the "rocky road" that led to the gold fields in early colonial Australia. The idea came about to mix all the fruit and nuts that didn’t quite make the long voyage from Britain in very good shape into chocolate, to disguise their otherwise less than palatable state. It’s a popular old-fashioned chocolate bar in Australia that was the flagship product of Darrel Lea. That, and licorice - but no-one wants to reminisce about licorice. Rocky Road has a bit of a cheap and trashy image, (which there’s nothing wrong with by the way) but we love chocolate, nuts and fruit and so thought this is the perfect trashy, junky bar to play with. The chocolate is a dark Valrhona. 5 different nuts and dried fruits. We make it our own by adding broken bits of our pie crust and Nozomi Chan’s marshmallows. 新メニューMatcha Latte (English to Follow) Matcha Latteは、逆輸入なドリンクですね。 当店の特徴は、エスプレッソが1shot入っているところです。 飲んでみるとエスプレッソは感じられませんが、エスプレッソが加わることで、味に深みが出て、より抹茶が際立った味になっています。 この違いは、エスプレッソありなしで飲み比べてもらえればすごくわかりやすいのですが、 例えるならば、だし汁に塩を加えた時の”味がピンっと立つ”あの感覚に近いものがあります。 日本の抹茶ラテが優しく柔らかいのに対して、Matcha Latteには凛としたものを感じます。 きっとMatchaの先には、Zenの世界が広がっていて、だから、このような凛としたMatcha Latteが誕生したのかもしれません。 とはいえ、コーヒーが苦手な方は、エスプレッソなしもできるので、お気軽に言ってください！ New - Matcha Latte Matcha Latte - the drink that’s been around the world, and now it’s back home. マスコット来た / A Mascot Mayamaxxさんが、お店の壁に小さなマスコットをプレゼントしてくれました! @mayamaxxr 昨年、MAYAさんのスタジオと自宅を手がけました。プロジェクトの終盤、ギャラリーがアートで埋め尽くされていく中で、真っ白だった部屋が一瞬にして生命力とエネルギーに満ちた空間へと変化しました。自分の空間を作るときには、そのエネルギーを欲しないわけにはいきません。 そこでMAYAさんは、私たちがショップをオープンすることを聞いて、オープニングギフトとしてサイドの壁に何かを描いてくれると言ってくれました。何を描こうかと話していたら、ネイティブアメリカンがいいとお願いすると。これはぴったりだと思いました。彼女のギャラリーには3枚組の作品が飾られていて、この子はそのうちの1枚なんです。彼からは、とても暖かい光が放たれています。芸術作品は、実物を見るとまた違った表情を見せてくれますね。 MAYAさん、このような素敵なプレゼントをつけてくださってありがとうございます。 4月15日から営業していますので、ぜひ新しいマスコットを見に来てくださいね。 Mayamaxx has gifted us a little mascot on the wall of the store! @mayamaxxr Last year, we worked on MAYA san's studio and home. Towards the end of the project, as the gallery was being filled with art, there was an instant transformation from being an all white room to being a space full of life and energy. It is impossible not to covet that energy when building a space of your own. So when MAYA san heard that we were opening a shop, she said she’d paint something on our side wall as an opening gift. We spoke about what she’d paint, one of her recent characters was suggested - and we thought he’d fit perfectly. There’s a triptych hanging in her gallery and this little guy is one of the trio. There’s such a warm glow emanating from him. Just like any great art, it’s a very different expression when you see the real thing. Thank you MAYA san for tagging our place with such a wonderful gift! Day 2 of live painting (English to Follow) MAYAMAXX さんのライブペイント 2日目！ 明日もインスタライブをやります。 多分、10時以降だと思います。 前回、カメラを三脚に固定してしまうと、何もコメントが見れないということが発覚。 Iphoneを入れるとひとりでカメラ三台をセットするという欲を出しすぎてバタバタしてしまいました。 明日は、ipadも持ち出して、明日は4台体制でやりたいと思います。 楽しみすぎます！ Day 2 of live painting by Mayamaxx. 商売道具 / Tools of the trade (English to Follow) どんな商品を販売するにしても、必ず1つや2つの欠かせない道具があり、それによって大きな違いが生まれます。 私たちの場合、その2つの道具とは、良いオーブンとエスプレッソ・マシンです。 先日、ようやくエスプレッソ・マシンが届きました。 それほど大きなものではありませんが、La Cimbaliのマシンが有名なのには理由があるのです。 これから数日間は、挽き方、抽出量、蒸らし方などを調整しながら、みんなでカフェインの制限値を超えてしまうかもしれません。 来週早々にはカフェインレスの豆も届きます！ Whatever it is you’re selling, there’s always one or two indispensable tools that make all the difference. For us, those two tools are a good oven and an espresso machine. Our espresso machine finally arrived yesterday. It’s not that big, but La Cimbali makes machines that are famous for good reason. For the next few days, we’ll all be at (or maybe slightly over) our caffeine limit as we work on calibrating grind, extraction levels and steaming refreshers.
