           It is a silence that comes from being given an answer that is neither satisfactory nor disappointing, but rather, an odd, unfamiliar one. Ignorance is bliss, and it seems that Denki Kaminari lived by this phrase comfortably; how quickly he brushed off his words meant this to him. However, Shinso is undeterred by this, instead, comforted that Denki does not excavate in what he is told. The only problem at hand was how awfully quick he is to be kind. Little does Shinso realize that being kind isn’t a bad thing.

          “No, stop that. In which part of my question did I say that I wanted my phone charged?”

“Huh? Well... I thought that’s why you were asking...” he admitted, frowning in confusion as he lowered his hand. “Soooo... what’s the reason then? You worried about me?~” he asked, curious tone morphing into a teasing one. “Awwww, I knew you cared!”

...Okay, he totally was, and he was getting plenty of odd looks for it. But he was too preoccupied to notice.

He wasn’t about to say that his street kid life groomed his brain into being imaginative and to think of all sorts of  uses for things. Escape routes or hiding places… His mental cogs were almost always turning. No wonder he doesn’t sleep much. Makes him wonder if he would have made a good student at UA.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s reaction though. He was like sunshine in the dark. “You’re welcome, Kaminari… Unless you’d rather I just call you Denki.” He asks before going back to shaking his spray can so to continue his work. He doesn’t mind company while he paints, they could easily chat while he finishes.

“So where were you heading to before my graffiti work distracted you?”

“Oh! Denki is fine! And to answer your question, uhhhhhh...” he paused, trying to remember. “I actually forgot what the original plan was... haha...” he finally confessed, rubbing at the back of his neck. “So... what are you working on?” he asked, genuinely curious. Especially since he couldn’t see it that well in the dark.

The blonde’s excitement about his quirk was a shocker… go figure. He stammered his words a little afterwards. “I.. Uh.. W-well.. Y-yes I guess it is good for that… or sneaking, but that’s all it’s pretty good for. Electricity has many uses.” To be fair he didn’t know the extent or details of Denki’s quirk, but even with brief knowledge, he could surmise a good bunch of uses.

“Living defib unit, car jump starter if someone’s car is stranded… A defensive electrical force field if you’re strong enough… Heck if you’re REALLY strong you could be like an electro magnet and maybe even levitate!”

Denki perked up when Aku brought up his own quirk, leaning in as they rambled about it’s uses. By the end, his expression was blank; the cogs in his brain visibly turning as he processed the information. When it clicked, his jaw dropped and his eyes went wide, utterly fascinated. “Dude... I’ve never even thought of those before! I’ve only ever thought about its offensive capabilities!” he chirped. “I could totally do some of those! Thanks for the ideas, man!” Now that he thought about it, that was something he could see Midoriya saying about his quirk. Heh.
