News Round-Up (posted Oct 3)

Justin Cornwell (Training Day) has been added to midseason entry The InBetween in the retooled main role of Damien Assante (the original version of this role was played by Yusuf Gatewood)

Sophie Reynolds has been added as a regular on L.A.’s Finest, as the stepdaughter to Jessica Alba’s character

Brett Dier (Jane the Virgin) has a regular role as a young, energetic teacher in the new Goldbergs spin-off, Schooled (which we don’t have a page for, but it will premiere next spring)

during the pilot season, Dier starred in CBS pilot History of Them

The Fix has cast four new recurring roles, with Molly Quinn of Castle as the sister to the murder victim played by Taylor Kalupa, with an additional two lawyers played by Erik Palladino and Skye P. Marshall

Skye P. Marshall has also booked a guest-starring role on fellow new ABC show, The Rookie

God Friended Me has a new guest-star, with Alias’ Michael Vartan as Cara’s (Violette Beane) father

Margot Bingham will recur on New Amsterdam, but we have no details about her character

Show creator April Blair has stepped down as showrunner for All American, after overseeing the first couple of episodes (she spoke to TVInsider about the project at the beginning of September); Nkechi Okoro Carroll, who joined the project right after pilot, will replace Blair as executive producer and showrunner
