My publicist forwarded me a note this morning, which I'm pasting below.   For the record, it ain't funny.  Got a feeling it was just from some fan of animation, thinking they were being original and cleaver. Fans we love and appreciate.  But this kind of outreach borders on cruel.  Also for the record, if anyone knew June they would know she was a die hard atheist. I would go so far as to say she was religious in her belief there was no God or afterlife.  And trust me, if the note was the slightest bit "true" it would have been better written in her voice/personality.  I don't know who sent this and I don't care to out them. That's not my purpose of posting this.  Just stop!  Find other ways to reach out to industry folk.  And everyone is allowed to make mistakes and put their, uh, computer mouse in their mouth.  Learn from your mistakes and move on!

It’s me, June Foray, communicating beyond the grave to let you know something. You might remember working with me before, and I passed away in July this year, and since I haven’t an email to use as a ghost, I’m using the WhenSend. I had been alive for many years, until passing away at the age of 100. Yes, what you all thought was my date of birth in September was wrong, I was actually born on June 22nd 1917, so I technically did have my 100th birthday this year. I was named June in fact for having been born in that month. Reaching my goal to be 100 had been a goal of mine over the past decade seeing how far I’d come and how I’d been doing with my health, therefore I did accomplish my goal of reaching 100. I wasn’t exactly planning on stating my real date of birth, but since my death this year had been before September, I thought I’d let everyone know the truth beyond my grave. When you get the moment Bob, please do confirm my real date of birth that I told you of to the public. Anyway, it had been a pleasure working with you in Looney Tunes projects, hope my old roles that I’ve been known for over the years are in fine good hands, good luck I say to Catherine Tate, Margo Martintale and Susanne Blakeslee, who’ve all succeeded my roles in this reboot of DuckTales that I’d been apart of alongside the great Alan Young who had been a good co-star of mine and passed away one year before I did.

it almost seems like a sweet gesture to me.  The writing seems like someone whose first language is not English, and they really, really, really wanted June to have made it to 100 years old.  And they seem to be wishing well to those following in her footsteps.  I don't think it was done with malice at all.
