Pondering for a moment, have I been oblivious or keeping track of how technology has been growing over the years? I'm not sure either.
All I know is that we are surrounded by social media platforms that primarily make communicating easier. Remember when the super typhoon Yolanda landed in the Philippines in 2013 and nearly wiped out most of the places in the Vizayas Group of Islands? It bombed every platform I knew, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (I don't even use Twitter and Instagram that time).
But looking on the brighter side, in spite of some people calling it "chismis" or naming the one who posted a "clout chaser," we cannot deny the fact that we were kind of relieved to be updated on the current happenings of that time.
Not very similar to how news was expounded before.
Up until now, radio continues to be the most effective and affordable mass medium to reach a lot of people in remote places. The availability depends on the battery life and signal. As for those who live in urban areas, they are more exposed to television and printed newspapers.
Upon stumbling on that memory, I can say that we are pretty lucky to have these social media platforms during calamities. These make it simpler to communicate with individuals all over the world, which is very helpful in informing the government about the conditions of those affected by disasters. Moreover, social media users tend to share these kinds of situations to spread awareness as well as help in the process of making other people's lives better. Nonetheless, this does not make televisions, radios, or the newspapers around us less useful.

Strand 101
Hi! I am Irish Marca, a senior high school student. Listed below are the words that are highly related to my current strand, STEM.
Concept – an abstract or generic idea generalized from particular instances.
The concept of the upcoming party is based on Halloween.
Mathematics – the abstract science of number, quantity, and space.
In our mathematics subject, we often discussed about Pythagorean theorem.
Technology – Machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge.
Most factories nowadays are run by technologies.
Science – the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation and the testing of theories against the evidence ontained.
In one of our science subjects, we discussed how rocks are formed.
Research – the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.
This semester, we are expected to complete our research about the possibility of creating a sponge using agricultural waste.
Management – the process of dealing with or controlling things or people.
The upcoming Basic Mountaineering Camping this June will need thorough management.
Engineering – the branch of science and technology concerned with the design, building, and use of engines, machines, and structures.
Most students in the STEM strand want to take engineering in college.
Plan – a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something.
To protect our team's flag during the camping trip, we need to come up with a proper plan.
Design – a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of an object before it is built or made.
In our contemporary art subject, we create various designs while using different watercolor techniques.
Development – a process that creates growth, progress, positive change or the addition of physical, economic, environmental, social and demographic components.
One must expect that there will always be development in every aspect of life.
Here is a video of myself saying the three words I picked.
