hello frenchie x kimiko nation... they make me INSANE!!! just started watching season 4 again with my bestie and ohhhh my goddd. FIVE years of watching this show - a QUARTER OF MY LIFE and i never picked up on this parallel until now!!!

season 3 episode 4 she IMMEDIATELY stands up for herself and calls back to one of her and Frenchie's first conversations in 1x5 when he told her she wasn't just a weapon and gave her the chance to be a person by setting her free. I think that stuck with her and she used the gun metaphor intentionally because of what he said (years?) ago

I can't believe I didn't pick up on this before the 1x5 scene is literally what i named this blog after bc that monologue/scene hit me like a TRAIN

Love referring to characters who are never seen without each other as "bonded pairs" like yuuuup. if you put these two in separate cages they're gonna get real sad and anxious and possibly violent too, one of em is biting the bars as we speak. you gotta adopt both of them or none at all, it is encouraged that you take them both. they are most likely to thrive if they stick together. it is easier for them to get used to new environments and situations because they have each other. they do everything together because they love each other so so much. you COULD separate them but it's gonna do a lot of psychological damage and it's gonna lead to a lot of issues and there's a big possibility they'll never be the same again

in fact, i think frenchie will have a hard time having sex with kimiko. i mean, sex was always associated with traumatic experience for him. it was more of a submission, humiliation, dependence. so now when he wants to have sex with kimiko who is "too magic to fuck", i think it will be difficult for him to overcome himself, to connect something this dirty with her so pure in his eyes. maybe he won't get hard. maybe he'll be scared that she wants him and very actively, and that'll push him away...

y'all I fear we will never get the tasteful, romantic Frenchie/Kimiko sex scene we deserve... They're gonna spend at least the first half of season 5 escaping from or otherwise resolving being kidnapped and then after that shit's probably gonna be hitting the fan nonstop until the end of season 5 until [COMIC SPOILERS] they all die. I just don't think there's gonna be time for them to get together like that let alone have a brief shining moment of happily ever after and it's sad :((
