and so, meet... snow baby penguin Yuki (means «snow»)! he's Arktos and James' child. a silent, timid and incredibly curious boy. he's a magical being, just like one of his fathers.

Yuki appeared thanks to a spell that Arktos cast together with James, finding an ancient book of magic in the libraries of the ice castle. the baby penguin has two different fathers, but in their own way wonderful: James is soft and affectionate with Yuki, devotes a lot of time to his son. usually, it's James who takes care of him: plays, feeds and puts him to bed. Arktos, on the contrary, is very strict. in Yuki, he sees, first of all, the heir. often, Arktos can shout or sent the baby away. however, this doesn't mean that they don't love each other. Arktos often tells his son about his exploits, he shares advice with him and teaches magic. and Yuki listens to him attentively with interest.

Yuki rarely utters words. it's not related to his age, he can speak well, but for some reason he doesn't talk much. also, the baby penguin is unsociable. despite his curiosity, Yuki doesn't really want to get to know someone and be with someone for a long time, except for James and Arktos. someone else's presence upsets him and he leaves. but this doesn't prevent the baby from continuing to want to know the world and who inhabits it. James taught Yuki to read, so while both parents are busy, Yuki reads encyclopedias. his magical abilities haven't yet been revealed, he's not capable or hasn't yet learned to wield magic. however, while the baby penguin sneezes, several snowflakes fly out of his mouth.

I have two questions! First: where are you come from? And second: are tabaluga your childhood cartoon or maybe you start watching it recently? :)

aww, that’s so sweet of you to ask a question about me! thank you very much! (//꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ/)*cough*⠀⠀ 1. I was born in Russia and still live here. (and I’m very sad that because of the stupid policy, many countries don’t like russians… actually, there are a lot of SERIOUS(!) reasons I’d like to move out of here. but that’s not the question.)⠀⠀ 2. oh, that’s a very interesting question! really! I’m happy to tell you how I learned about this cartoon :} ⠀⠀  I learned about this animated series as a child. at that time I was about 5-6 years old. in those years the russian TV channel “Carousel” still showed this cartoon. unfortunately, I don’t remember much. I can only remember how I watching one episode from season two, where Tabaluga met Sally. at this age, I had a dream about Tabaluga. there was nothing exciting about the dream. I just walked behind him.  but that’s not the whole story…⠀⠀ 2017, the last days of July.⠀⠀ I was sitting at my computer as usual. and suddenly I remembered an interesting character from my childhood. I wanted to watch that cartoon again, start feeling nostalgic. but there was one problem: I didn’t know what it was called. I didn’t even know the character’s name! >:0 the funny thing is that then I wrote in the browser “cartoon about a small green DINOSAUR” xD but guess what? it really helped! of course, there were a lot of different pictures, BUT I FOUND WHAT I WANTED! I immediately recognized Tabaluga!⠀⠀  next to the picture was written “Tabaluga”. I copied this inscription and…yesss, damn it, I finally found that cartoon from my childhood! I was sooo happy!! ∠(:_D」∠)＿ ⠀⠀  and when I started to view each image… AT THAT MOMENT I SAW ARKTOS! I still remember my words: “OH MY GOOOD, I REMEMBER HIM!!”  perhaps it was the best start to watch this wonderful animated series again. after all these years.⠀⠀  just a couple of days I watched the WHOLE animated series! and I still remember watching the whole third season in one night! (then I couldn’t sleep thinking about that horrible ending.)⠀⠀  I have to say: at first my favorite character was Arktos. he’s a really unique character: an egoist who acts like a little kid, very charismatic, funny and cute. (think, with me now many will agree) after a while, I turned my attention to James. since then, he’s the cutest cinnamon roll I’ve ever seen <3 my boii nah, I still love Arktos, he just took second place of my favorite characters from Tabaluga, you know?  I adore these two with all my heart!! uwu and, heh, my OTP was Jarktos from the beginning!⠀⠀ thank you for reading this. it’s very important to me.  have an ice day ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I again watched the cartoon "Tabaluga and Leo: A Christmas Adventure" in one shot that lasted only a couple of seconds, I noticed a very interesting easter egg in the background. on the wall hangs a picture of baby Arktos and his mother holding him in her arms. this picture doesn't appear anywhere else.

this picture seemed to me very sweet and sad. the evil queen and her heir, the little prince... after that, I drew the way Arktos looks at that picture on the wall and misses his mother, those good times.

we all know that he remembers his mother painfully. I think he might just fall to his knees and cry bitterly... :(
