I've heard of the Japanese version (cuz I'm a weeboo) and I think there is a version where if you instead ask for yellow paper instead, you get your head dunked in the toilet...I'll let you figure out the worst part of this.

When I was a little kid, my mom told me that if I went to the bathroom exactly at midnight, a hand would come out of the toilet and offer me either blue or red toilet paper and would kill me depending on which color I chose. I was too scared to go to the bathroom at night for a long time, lmao. This is the Japanese urban legend of Aka Manto (it’s slightly different from the Japanese version though, because my mom learned it growing up in Korea pre-internet days)

Then I realize this implied he never wiped and put back on his boxers. He may be the kind of man to not wash his hands after going to the bathroom (according to The Bottomless Pit) but I couldn’t emotionally handle the thought of not wiping after using the toilet

With a heavy heart, I am throwing in the towel on figuring out my original AUs. Time and time again, I tried to make sense to what I wanted to write and whenever I attempt to make something, something else happens.

So many ideas, so many plot bunnies...

I'm experiencing major burn outs and I think its better to just...write what I wanna write. It could be a standalone thing or something from someone else's AU.

I guess I've been more or less forcing it instead of just letting things flow naturally.

So...yeah.

TLDR: I'm shitty at writing original AUs, stressing myself out for no reason, and should just have fun in this fandom/community.

If what I write does transform into an AU, awesome!

I had...an idea...I fully intended to separate Project 618 from Fragmented...

But a recent idea I had is now bringing back the Plantars into the fold...

And that idea was this.

So, basically, realizing that Dipper and Mabel feel more at home in Gravity Falls, their parents make the big decision to move to Roadkill County. Morgan (name I chose for the twins' dad) has a job in Stella Heights, so they needed a place close.

I originally had the Pines living in an apartment complex...but then...I was reminded of the Pink Palace from Coraline and had a thought.

Just outside the city of Stella Heights, there is a mansion that once belonged to the founder of Stella Heights. It was left abandoned until it was converted into apartments (sort of like the Pink Palace). The rent was good, so the Pines decided to live there. As being an apartment complex, there are more tenants...

The Hawthornes (Earth's equivalent of the Clawthornes...Tumblr wants me to correct Hawthornes but not Clawthornes?) and the Plantars...

I kicked them out in favor of giving them focus in Fragmented, but apparently wanted a part in Project 618 too...

Granted, Fragmented would be the one with more characters from Amphibia and the Owl House in the plots (and maybe new iterations of their episodes into GF) while here, in Project 618, this would be it (with a maybe exception of Raine because Raeda forever <3).

Plus, as I mentioned in a previous post, there won't be a lot of major baggage (with the exception of King and Sprig lacking their biological parents). By this, I mean Eda hasn't been struck by a curse, though she still became a vagabond mostly due to her carefree nature.

Not only that, but I am now attending Fragmented to be more lighthearted (just the fun generic second summer idea without overarching, end-of-the-world stakes; plus towns based on Wartwood and Bonesborough.) compared to Project 618...I mean, there's still gonna be some goofy moments (nothing can be 100% serious).

Why do I do this to myself?

I am reminded of this one boss in Resident Evil Revelations. The unfortunate dude was a communications officer. All I remembered him say was ‘Mayday, mayday…this is the Queen Zenobia’ in a pained and strained voice. He was already turned, but clearly, he speaking these last words before he lost his humanity.

Then, there is Rachel from the same game. Unlike the guy from before, she’s a recent victim, freshly dead and mutated, but she was still crying out from the pain, exclaiming ‘It hurts!’ Even when she was shot at.

Zombies shouldn't growl or snarl, they should babble a mixture of incomplete word sounds and whole words or sentence fragments. Every zombie should sound almost but not quite like it's trying to tell you something.

Good lord. Memory returned! I thought I lost my phone and looked for ten seconds before realizing it was still in my hand...

Not only that, but I had my earbuds connected to it, back when iPhones had aux ports. And the earbuds were in my ears. If they weren't in, I'd probably had looked longer than I would like to admit.

Brand New AU: Project 618

This is the new AU that is much more Lovecraftian inspired.

I've transferred what I had in mind for Fragmented here:

A supernatural ailment

Presences of a cult

Powers

Stella Heights (a small city that is about...15 miles away from Gravity Falls)

Additionally, there are:

New characters (actual OCs)

Emergence of old faces

Advanced tech

An organization created to research, contain, and/or protect anomalies, maybe even combat them if necessary

A company that may not have our heroes' best interests at heart

Anomalous entities that bare similarities to a certain isosceles

Main things that were changed:

Dipper and Mabel's parents aren't dead. They did move to Stella Heights mainly because Dipper was having a hard time with his peers, among other things.

As stated before, Amphibia and Owl House characters are not gonna be in it. There might be references to them, though. However...

I have and it was a blast!

I'll admit, I was getting a tad bit apprehensive when it was clear that the baby was indeed supposed to be Shermie. However, it quickly dissipated when it was revealed that it wasn't exactly thought through and by the time it was realized that the timing didn't really add up correctly, it was too late.

So, I'm willing to give Alex a pass on that.

Theory: Bill Used to Have a Physical Form Before

I've had this thought about Bill.

So, he originated from the Second Dimension, right? While its not very much implied (as far as I can tell), I'd wager that the Second Dimension was in a physical plane. By that, I mean, its inhabitants more or less organic...as 'organic' as they can get as literal flat beings.

This would mean that Bill once had a physical form before finding himself in the Nightmare Realm.

So, how did he lose it?

Like what happens to any organic matter.

It rotted away.

Now...If Bill had already died (and his spirit remained in the Nightmare Realm) before the rotting set in is unknown.

What I think is that Bill slowly lost his physical form during his time stuck in the Nightmare Realm.

I know I said that I was gonna hold off on talking about Fragmented until I've sorted my thought process, but I think I had an epiphany or something.

I did attempt to create a GF Lovecraftian story, but it barely made it past planning. What originally inspired this was seeing a silhouetted image of Cthulhu in Journal 3.

The more I was imagining stuff for Fragmented, the more I was adding some eldritch/Lovecraftian elements to it and it was starting to feel cluttered again.

So...I've decided on this:

Fragmented will solely be focused on the mergings of elements between Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and the Owl House.

Meanwhile, the Lovecraftian-esque story (I have yet to make a name for this AU) would contain the whole cult, supernatural ailment and "superpower" stuff.

I'm still gonna need time to sort stuff out. I just wanted to share this.

Quick Google search and it's actually a term relating to particle physics. A composite subatomic particle, to be exact.

...Either Fidds gave himself that middle name or someone in his family loves physics.

And Fidds would be none the wiser, feeling that his friend has been slowly losing himself out here.

not me thinking about this and pointing at my suicide!ford fic and au at large, where i had Ford struggle so much under the weight of his mistakes in relation to the ones around him after his 'mission' was taken away from him, with no visible hope of a new or better one in Stan still being 'dead' for longer than in canon, until the pressure made him take his life because the shame and guilt of it all was too much for him... and then go insane because my characterization somehow fits if you think about it hard enough... man.
