as a gay guy i dont really understand the problem with guys having girl best friends or vice versa.

i understand that it’s like “they always fall for each other” but is that actually true?

if you assume that every friendship with someone’s gender that your partner’s romantically oriented to is a threat, what about pan people?

with this logic my boyfriend (whos pan) would be in love with all of his friends and therefore i shouldn’t let him be friends with anyone??? that just sounds wrong and toxic.

also, that would mean that i wouldn’t be allowed to be friends with guys and i think that’s equally as stupid.

so i just dont really get it. is it a straight person thing or? im genuinely curious
