There's Got to be a Morning After Pill | Piper & Max
Earth. Rain. Leaves beginning to rot and return to the soil beneath. The distinct smells of being outdoors filled her nose as Piper began to stir. Smells incredibly familiar and completely foreign at the same time. Those were the first things the girl became aware of as her mind began to pull away from the blackness that surrounded her. Then came the feeling of the ground beneath her, nearly frozen but not quite. Even so, it was firm enough to communicate that wherever this was was not her bed nor was it anyone else's bed.
The feeling of being vaguely disoriented was something she'd known twice in the recent days, though both times that brief unease had been chased quickly. Each time the weight against her had reminded her of where she was as she woke in Maxxie's bed. Now there was nothing to anchor her, nothing to stop that confusion from deepening. It seemed like silence surrounded her. No birds, no bugs, nothing but the occasional sound of the wind and maybe some traffic in the distance. It was strange, strange enough to make her wonder if she was dreaming despite all her other senses insisting she wasn't. There was no way that her head would ache the way it did or that there'd be a searing pain in her joints and down her side if she were dreaming.
Finally, Piper forced her eyes open for no reason other than to confirm what she already knew. It seemed bright, though after a moment she realized that it really wasn't. Wherever she'd ended up was deep enough into the woods of Musgrave that what little sunlight they got probably didn't filter through the branches and any artificial light was far from reaching her. Struggling to sit, the girl noticed with vague dismay that the chill she felt wasn't the result of the cold seeping through her clothes but rather the lack of them all together. From there, it seemed like one piece of information turned into a landslide of it. Her fingernails caked with dirt, the foul taste in her mouth, smears of dirt on her skin, the shallow scratches along her legs and arms, the deeper one running from her stomach and curving around the back of her hip.
Her stomach was churning and for a moment Piper was afraid she was about to be sick. Still, she tried to force her mind to forget the confusion and remember how she ended up like this. All she could come up with was blackness. Giving up her struggles and dropping back to lay with her arm tucked beneath her head, the girl tried to call up any memory of the previous hours. Movement, she remembered that, but she couldn't remember why or how. The previous night was blank, almost as if it had been erased. She remembered pouring herself a drink from one of the many bottles Spencer had stashed around his room. Had she really had that much? Enough to strip her clothes and pass out here? Closing her eyes in attempts to focus, Piper tried to slow her panicked breathing. She'd felt sick, like she was getting the flu, and angry. Maybe scared. Definitely claustrophobic in the apartment. The last thing she could picture was running down the stairs of the building, phone in hand. Calling Max for reasons she wasn't sure of and then blinding pain. Then… blackness.
Her body shivered, finally reacting both to the exposure to the elements and the realization that she'd lost an entire night. The realization that she'd just learned that she was capable of killing and now had hours unaccounted for. There was a sinking feeling in her stomach as it dawned on her what that could mean and the nausea washed back over her again. As the situation fully dawned on her, that she had no idea how she got here, who she'd hurt in the process, or how she was going to get home, Piper finally found the strength to move. Her body forced itself into motion to roll onto her hands and knees as she began to retch. It was already empty, though that didn't stop the reflex from making her stomach heave.

he said "maybe i am a monster and i'll never change" but he turned into so many monsters in my arms and i just held tight and then i said "i'll hold on to you until your bones fuse with mine, i will bleed my love into you until your muscles will find mine"

There was a need to challenge him, a need to make him understand that this wasn't a joke and it wasn't something he could just will away. Piper knew that he was used to getting his own way and that the fingertips that danced across her flesh were probably proof of that, but this wasn't something that he could control. Any response she could have died on her lips. Or more precisely it died on their lips as they joined together once again. And then her mind was blank again, focusing not on how there was no way a promise could be made in this situation but on the way her stomach leapt at the pressure of his lips against hers. She didn't wonder how he could be so certain that he could make promises but instead thought of how it was almost sweet that he was misguided enough to think he could.
It still came as a surprise how easily he seemed to be able to pull and tug her body to move the way he wanted it to. It shouldn't have been with the ever increasing number of times it had happened. Still, in one breath she was leaning her weight against him and in the next she found herself in bed with their limbs woven together as if designed that way. Ghosts of sighs escaped her as his lips brushed over her flesh, warming it everywhere they touched. "I think you're doing it backwards, Maxxie," Piper murmured as she drew her head back to take in his expression. "You're supposed to show me the door where we lie about calling tomorrow then you go to sleep." It wasn't that she wanted to leave, really. The only place to go was home where she'd be alone with her thoughts. But there was that lingering fear of what she was involving him in that made her feel like she was supposed to. Every minute she stayed intwined with him was another where he was at risk, either because of what she'd already done or what she was capable of doing. It didn't seem fair to keep him tangled in this out of some sort of feeling of obligation, so she'd offered him a way out. Now he could tell her to go without it seeming insensitive, something Piper never would have thought he'd ever be concerned about doing. Before today, at least.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Her arms slipped around him and Max’s lips grazed hers as she spoke. Her touch felt so strikingly real but not at the same time, and he wondered how that was possible. Fingers traced up Pipers spine, his mind counting each dip of her vertebrae as his neck arched up to her. “Watch me,” Max replied quickly. His voice almost challenged her notion, the corners of his mouth even going as far as to turn upwards in a smirk to match the spark of fire in his tired, void-like eyes. Just like that it felt as if they were back in public, banter dropping from each of their mouths like hot coins, sharp and concise. Before she could reply, however, Max kissed her fully, his brain sparking matches as if it were the first time. There was no arguing with him. He’d escaped a dark fate after committing a crime before and he’d do it again with her. Max knew it would work.
He could feel the malevolent thoughts beginning to creep back at the slightest regard of his sins and quickly refocused into the present. His hands moved back down Piper’s spine, dipping around her thighs to pull her onto the bed just as he leaned back into the mattress. Entangling his limbs into hers, Max’s mouth moved to pepper soft kisses over her neck, collarbone and shoulder, fingers reaching to pull his satin blanket over them. Her hair was damp, but he breathed in the scent anyway, closing his eyes with content. He’d keep her demons away just like she did his. After everything, he owed her that much at least.

Imprisonment or being eaten away by guilt seemed to be the two options available. Neither was appealing and neither translated to her being even remotely okay. Piper couldn't say that, couldn't give either idea life by saying the words aloud. She couldn't burden him with that worry or the knowledge that he'd only served to be a bandage on the wound, something to stop the bleeding but not enough to prevent the infection from starting. It was better if for now they both just tried to believe that it would be okay.
Her hand ached from how tightly it clutched the towel around her shoulders. Her nails bit into her palm though she made no move to loosen her grasp or shift the swath of fabric to a more traditional position. Her skin would dry on its own in time, taking away the last of what had happened as it did, and at this point there was very little need for shame. As the gentle pressure beneath her chin coaxed her head to lift, Piper found that she was more concerned than she should be about what she would find written on his face. Her hazel eyes searched his, looking for anything that that didn't fit. Any hint of his words being platitudes. She couldn't decide if she wanted to find it or not. Pressing her lips together until they became nothing more than a thin line, Piper gave a brief nod of her head. It wasn't an agreement, but rather an acknowledgement of what he'd said.
There was regret and fear pooling in her stomach as the girl allowed him to lead them out of the bathroom, the feelings coming slowly at first and then hitting her like a wall as the air changed as they crossed the threshold. Neither feeling had anything to do with Maxxie. The surprise followed by a sudden wave of relief when he pulled towards the bed rather than the door did have to do with him. Relief great enough to let the girl relax her grasp on the towel as he pulled her to him and enough to let her drop it completely as she let him. Almost instinctively her arms went to wrap around his shoulders, as though he were a float in a stormy sea. "You can't promise that." Eyes closing, there was a wistfulness in her voice as she spoke. She wished he could, but didn't see how it was possible.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
"You’ll be okay." Max finished her sentence without a thought, slowly and carefully. Having expertly spun countless lies in his short lifetime, the youth was unsure of whether his words would even actually reach her at all. All Max knew was that he meant each one of them with his entire being. It didn’t matter if she thought they were true or not, nor if he’d be able to make sure she would be… because Max was going to do everything in his power to make it okay.
His fingers dipped around his waist, tucking the towel in his grasp until it held. Max then turned to face her, his whole entire being flushing with another tidal wave of desire just at the sight of her. Hair wet, stuck to her skin and her eyes— they were downcast, but Max was already curling his index to tilt them up to meet his murky hues. “I promise.” What he felt then wasn’t sexual in nature, but still physical in a sense. He needed to dream… and not feel that horror that so tirelessly haunted him. He needed to sleep, but with her. Hand slid into hers and he tugged, pulling her from the steamy trance of the bathroom and towards his bed. Pivoting on his foot, he approached it’s edge stepping backwards until the soft satin mattress interrupted his stride at the back of his knee. His towel fell loose, but he didn’t care about that. Max sank into the silken cushion, his eyes never daring to leave Piper’s face nor his touch from her body. In fact, he was pulling her closer— pulling her into him and into the space between his toes until her entire body weight held steady in his and their heartbeats communicated once more. “I promise,” Max repeated, his voice but a whisper into her lips, then.

The strangest of feelings had taken up residence in the pit of Piper's stomach. It was one so different than what she'd been feeling all day or even what she'd felt since she'd first asked Maxxie for his help to feel something else that it took her a minute to place it. It wasn't until his arms went around her and their skin was pushed back together that she was able to put it together. She felt safe. It was the last thing she'd expected to feel with him, buried far below just about any other possible emotion, and yet it was exactly what she felt as the water swept over their skin and washed the sweat they'd created together down the drain. Wanting nothing more than to cling to that feeling of safety, her arms slipped around his waist to cling to him as she buried her face in his chest. If only there were a way to stay just like this then maybe she could get through it.
It wasn't possible and Piper knew that, but it still didn't stop the sigh that came from her lips when she felt him reach to shut off the water. It didn't lessen the reluctance to let go that made it so hard to pull her arms away from him. The sound of the door sliding open was like a slap in the face, a grim reminder of what the reality just outside of it was. Standing mutely as the towel was wrapped around her shoulders, Piper felt rooted in place. Even as her eyes tracked his movements there was no conscious attempt to join in those actions herself. It wasn't until he asked her what she was going to do that Piper finally forced herself into motion. For an instant, she'd hoped the question was about what she was going to do right then. A twisted request she stay without having to form those words. She knew it wasn't. It wasn't even close to what he was asking. She knew he was asking what she was going to do about what she'd done because hooking up with him wasn't so much of a solution as it was delaying the inevitable. Stepping out of the shower, Piper clutched the towel around her shoulders. Her mind was blank, not a single thought of how to even begin responding to his question existed within it. "I... I don't know. I know what I'm supposed to do, but..." Voice trailing off, Piper shrugged her shoulders as she looked towards the ground. It was an awful thought, not doing anything at all, but the girl couldn't deny that she'd been considering it.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Her lush hues were still as striking as ever and Max was unable to look away, his face growing hot at her comment. He managed to crack a small smile in response, glad that Piper’s snark had somewhat returned to her- that and the fact that for probably the first time ever, he didn’t have a witty reply on the tip of his tongue to throw out. Max didn’t feel that fleeting sensation that he’d felt with other girls at this exact moment either. He didn’t want to throw on his clothes and sneak away into the night feeling slightly more shitty than before. He didn’t want to run away and pretend that what they had just done didn’t mean anything. Max’s hands lingered on Pipers waist, pushing her playfully into the stream of the water, which was hot, but no hotter than the temperature of their skin. What he felt was unfamiliar, strange and peculiar- it warmed his heart and made him want the moment to never end. Was this happiness?
It was quick, gone almost as soon as he realized what he was feeling, replaced with something somber and real. His muscular arms pressed her naked body against his and the water fell over both of them, cleaning and leaving them glistening. As much as Max wanted to believe that it could wash away his sins, and hers as well, he knew very well that such a thing could never happen. Piper had killed someone, and that was why she had come here. He wondered if she could have sensed that he had killed someone too, but that couldn’t be possible, not unless it were subconsciously. She’d come for his help and he’d provided the distraction. As good as what they had just done felt, there was still a lingering uncertainty in the back of his mind towards the situation, clamping ice cold around his heart. Max reached behind Piper, turning off the water before sliding open the glass door to grab a delicate white towel. He wrapped it over her shoulders, fingers lingering longer than they should have before he turned away and got one for himself. “What… are you going to do?” Max asked quietly, stepping away from her reluctantly and reaching towards the mirror to wipe off the condensation. He looked at Piper’s reflection, taking the towel to his hair. Max knew that she knew what he was talking about. What was she going to do about what she did? What could he do?

There should have been a screaming complaint in the front of her mind as the floor of the shower dug into her knees. At the very least Piper should've been aware of the hard marble digging into the thin layer of flesh. Instead her mind was occupied elsewhere, focusing on the way Maxxie's breathing had sped up and on the taste of him- of them- on her tongue. As his fingers knotted in her hair, urging her on, the water could have been scalding or freezing for all she cared. The feeling of his hot skin between her lips as she slid over him and the moans from between his were enough to distract her from anything else. He had pulled them from hers with such ease, such dedication to making her feel, that all she wanted was to have done the same. She couldn't miss how shallow his breathing had become and it only served to convince her to renew her efforts further, a low hum starting in the back of her throat as she moved. Piper couldn't begin to list the reasons why she was so intent on making sure this wasn't just the nightcap to what she was sure was one of so many hook ups that Maxxie had lost count of number or names involved. There was part of her that believed fair was fair and she'd had her turn, but there was another part that knew it was about something far more than that, but she didn't know what. What it was didn't matter, not as the sound of Maxxie's breath coming in pants filled her ears or as his muscles began to tense beneath her hands. The curse from between his lips erased any side contemplation she'd briefly entertained and her mouth slowed to a crawl as her lips just barely slipped over his flesh. Swallowing reflexively, Piper waited for his body to begin to relax and for those fingers to release her hair before finally coming to a halt. Finding herself pulled to eye level with him, green eyes flashed upwards at his face to take in the expression there. Biting back the urge to laugh at the fact that she'd finally found a way to render him speechless, Piper allowed only the slightest of smirks to come to her lips. "Cat got your tongue, Maxxie?" The words came out in a hoarse purr as she found that crackling feeling of electricity dancing across her skin once again just from his proximity.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Max’s thoughts grew less and less coherent in his tormented mind as Piper worked him with her immaculate mouth. His eyelashes, glistening with minuscule water droplets fluttered as his eyes rolled backwards, the growing and all too-familiar sensation of excitement festering within him. His chest moved in unison with his deep breaths, slowly at first, then heavier and louder until he couldn’t keep the moans from escaping. Nonetheless, Max’s first few teeth pulled at his bottom lip at a poor attempt to somewhat silence himself. When Piper faltered to glance up at him, he unwittingly let one of his hands, which had been previously griping at the tile walls, bury itself in the brunette’s wet locks and clasp, tugging slowly, forwards and towards him until she had resumed her pace. Max’s eyebrows knotted and breaths came more in more shallow gasps as he edged closer and closer to his edge. If the young man were to be honest in that very moment, he would say that by the string of women he’d ever gotten to this point with, Piper managed to surpass them all. Perhaps it was the fact that he’d always lacked any sort of real connection with the others, or maybe she was just good. Max would never know, and then, after a small while longer, it was impossible to even linger on the notion any longer. “Fuck-" he choked out, back arching with pleasure as waves and waves of satisfaction washed over him at his release. His whole body shuddered, and then Max was leaning his back on the wall, his fingers loosening from the grip he had on Pipers hair before slowly pulling her up to eye level. Still exhibiting exerted breaths, he looked at her, unsure of what to say. Though, he thought he did somewhat understand Pipers reasoning for doing what she just did, then… but that didn’t mean he thought he deserved it.

It wasn't enough to thank him, not really. Not when every single sane person would have done something when she'd confessed her sin. There wasn't any other person that would have taken the opportunity to add to the list of reasons they were damned. Not that Piper could think of, at least. She'd come to Maxxie without any thought of why or what she needed. Beyond this, Piper still didn't know what she needed. But she did know that if she could hide for what happened as long as possible by being with him, that was what she would do. There was a part of her, deep in her gut, that knew that it wasn't just about delaying reentering the real world. There was a part of her that knew that it was as much about being with Maxxie as it was about hiding. Watching the expression on his face change, Piper wasn't quite sure if she was pleased by the response or slightly embarrassed by it. A mixture of both, perhaps. Lowering her gaze, the girl was urged on by the sounds escaping his mouth as she gently took him in hers. Wrapping her lips around him, she continued the path of her tongue, tasting his skin as it swept across it. It wasn't an action all together foreign to the girl, though this was possibly the first time she'd initiated the act because she wanted to rather than because she didn't want to do something else. Pausing her motions for a brief moment, Piper shyly cast a glance upwards from beneath her lashes to catch sight of his face once again. It wasn't just about prolonging their time together, she wanted to do for him what he'd done for her. She wanted to give him exactly what he needed, whatever that happened to be.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Even though they were along the lines of what Max was searching for, her hushed words of gratitude didn’t register with him at first. When they did, however, he breath almost caught in surprise. A thank you was actually the very last thing he expected to fall from Piper’s flushed lips and into his own. Max’s dark eyes blinked  and he half-froze, making sure that she had actually said what she’d heard. And when it did finally, actually register, there was a huge shift in his atmosphere. A weight, not quite crushing, but indeed ever-lingering was gone. Because She’d thanked him and that only meant that he’d succeeded. No longer did his mouth kiss so desperately nor his hands grasp so firmly because she was there in front of him right now and she wasn’t going anywhere. Piper had helped him and now he had helped her. They were now even but Max found himself okay with the notion of tipping the scale again. Suddenly he was moving, going along with her gentle guiding hands until his back was against the shower wall that she’d just been against. He’d never let anyone but her sway his countenance like that. Eyes flickered with curiosity, only broken by a look of bliss as Piper’s body moved against him before she’d broken away from him entirely. His brow furrowed at first, but then the petite brunette sank to the ground in front of him and Max’s lip’s parted in a silent oh at her touch.  As if they were right back at the beginning again, electricity jolted through his entire body. The dark haired man let out a broken sigh when he felt Piper’s tongue, his entire being already aching with pleasure.

It had been the only thing Piper had been able to think of, a desperate way to push the memory of one completely out of character incident out of her mind with another. She'd found a way to erase the memory of death by reminding herself in the most primitive way what it felt like to be alive, even if it couldn't last forever. For now it gave her something to cling to. He had given her something to cling to. She didn't want this to end, either. Though whether it was Maxxie or a reluctance to face the real world, Piper wasn't quite sure. "Thank you." The whisper escaped her lips before she even quite realized she was thinking the words, though she did owe him that. For his concern, for not turning her away, for the jolt of electricity that ran through her as he pulled her back in. It seemed as though every inch of exposed skin was matched with one of his, each curve of her flesh finding a home against his. As the kiss deepened, Piper suddenly realized that perhaps he was just as unwilling as she was to face the world outside his bathroom. Maybe she wasn't the only one that this provided a distraction for. Struck by an idea, she pushed gently at his shoulders, not aiming to push him away but rather to reverse their positions with his back going to meet the opposite wall. With some reluctance her lips left his, going back to brush them against his once more as she gently rocked her hips into him with small sigh. It was with greater reluctance that she pulled her body from his almost completely, skin just barely brushing against his as she slid down to her knees. Loosely wrapping her fingers around him, she slowly pumped her hand up and down his shaft a few times, pausing to look up at Maxxie with a hint of a smile. Not looking away, she lowered her head slightly, tongue darting out to run along his head as her hand resumed it's slow pace.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Slowly, seeping, rationality trickled back into every fiber of Max’s being and along with it came the hunger in the pit of his stomach blossomed as well. Perhaps the instance was correlated, somehow.  Max’s mind flitted to thoughts regarding what he was doing, with Piper, or with anything in his life and along with it came the harsh reality that his ‘life’ was spinning terribly out of control. That’s when Max wanted to lose himself again and up until just now, he didn’t even know that was an option. Piper was now the anchor of his existence and he never, ever, wanted to let her go. Suddenly he wanted her to say something. Anything. What was she thinking? His kisses dipped into a newfound vigor and he peppered them all over the soft skin of her neck and collarbone before searching her eyes again. He hoped that she knew she was okay now, he would always be right here to make sure of it. Hands moved down and pulled her hips into his, and he was breathless at how perfectly they molded together, like two halves to every whole. His lips pressed against hers a little harder, then, and the very last thing he wanted to do was turn off the shower and go to bed- although even when he did, he would take Piper with him. He hadn’t slept in a very long time.

There wasn't a single other thing that mattered except for Maxxie. Piper couldn't focus on a single thing other than the feeling of his skin against hers, the warmth of him chasing away every chill she had and every memory that was seared into her mind. Any questions she'd had about coming to him had evaporated and the only thing that counted was this. The sound of her name escaping his lips was a thrill, a moan escaping her lips as he uttered it and her hips grinding back into him. Panting for air in the few seconds of stillness that followed his release, Piper tried to tell herself that the racing of her heart was only because of the sex, that it had nothing to do with his warm breath on her neck or the weight of him draped across her back. It had nothing to do with the way his hands fit on hers, it was just hard to breathe from the steam. Piper kept telling herself that as her breathing hitched when he turned her around on still trembling legs. Grateful for the support of the wall behind her and his body pressing against her, she watched as he brought their tangled fingers to rest against his chest. Feeling the racing of his heart against her hands, Piper looked up at him with surprise. Mouth opening slightly as she searched for something to say, she closed it quickly as she realized there wasn't anything to say. Even if there was, she didn't want to break the spell. Closing her eyes when his forehead met hers, Piper tried to understand what was going on. Shouldn't this feeling have evaporated by now? She wasn't quite sure, but by all accounts this was the point where they were both supposed to scramble to rationalize what had happened. Or at least, she was supposed to. She wasn't supposed to regret that the time was inevitably coming where she was going to have to gather her things and go. Sighing as they took part in that frustrating dance where their lips almost met several times before finally coming together, Piper tried to will herself not to start thinking. She hadn't thought before she'd done it, so why start now? The kiss wasn't the same as before, the rawness of it was gone. But despite being less panicked and eager, Piper still felt a certain degree of desperation. She didn't know how long this could continue, but at the moment she didn't want it to end.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Piper was on the fringe, and Max was right there on the verge of euphoria with her, holding on to every inch of her skin with every inch of hers. Nothing had ever felt so worthwhile in his entire life. Their bodies, burning and riddled with passion united so perfectly together, and Max knew right then that he would follow her wherever she may go. If Piper wanted him or not, he’d be there, watching, comforting, and caring. The hand that gripped her breast traveled up the brunettes arm, until his long, thin fingers slipped between her lithe and writhing ones. Gripping, Max’s eyes clenched shut and he rode out his orgasm, taking the leap over the edge of the cliff and toppling just seconds after her. “Piper!” he breathed out harshly, calling out her name in response to her saying his. Max’s mind slipped, lost in the sheer intensity of lust that he felt at the moment of his release. His body acted on its own accord and his face lost itself in the soft skin of her neck as his hips gave a few final motions before the sensitivity was too much. After a moment, he cracked his dark eyes open, chest heaving with the previous exertion. The sounds of water falling to the ground steadily returned to his ears along it’s prickling sensation, washing away their sweat and sins down the very drain beneath his feet. Max’s other hand found hers and in the next moment, he’d turned her to face him, pushing her back against the wall. Bringing both of her hands to the skin over his chest, Max’s dark eyes met her bright ones, as though he needed yet another confirmation that this was in fact real. His forehead pressed against Pipers, and the familiar unlost electricity bounced between them, back and forth with tension and something more. Max’s nose grazed hers, and then so did his lips. He kissed her a little softer than before, inhaling her breaths and tasting her taste. But that didn’t make it mean any less.

Perhaps it was a side effect of what she'd done or maybe it was simply that no one had ever dared to push it that far before, but things that Piper had been so sure she'd hate suddenly seemed more alluring than imaginable. Having her hands stripped away, her flesh undoubtedly being marked by his mouth, everything about being with Maxxie. Drawing air into her lungs as his fingers found their rhythm, Piper pulled her own fingers away. Adding a second hand to the wall to brace herself as his thrusts seemed to intensify, Piper forced the last stray trace of a thought from her brain. Her moans grew louder and more rapid, coming almost as punctuation at the end of each thrust as she found herself becoming overwhelmed by how every part of him was touching her in exactly the right spot. She would have given anything if she could just feel exactly this way forever, teetering right on the brink. It was an impossibility and Piper knew it, yet even as her body gave in she couldn't help but wonder if it would be possible. As she spasmed around him, any discernible break between her moans evaporated as they turned into a sharp cry of relief. Hands sliding along the wall as she struggled to keep her grasp in the midst of what felt like an endless wave of pleasure, Piper's hips bucked of their own accord as though they were uncertain whether they wanted to drive backwards into him or grind into his fingers. Each movement they made was almost too much, intensifying what she was feeling to a level Piper had never felt before. "Jesus Christ, Maxxie." The words flew from her mouth before she realized that she was even speaking, mind still numb to everything other than him.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Max knew that this new angle would elicit a new range of responses from the brunette, but that only made him crave more of her. His mouth sucked on her neck and jawline, occasionally letting his teeth graze ravenously over her skin and leave nips of bright pink. You could already see the blood that rose to the skin underneath his suction, leaving dark flecks, almost marking her. She was, in all of her glory his now because there certainly wasn’t any going back now. Max let Piper guide one of his hands down down and over her soft, pleasurable stomach, dipping low and to her clitoris. As his other hand gripped her left breast, this one began vigorously massaging the area, searching for louder sounds. He wanted so badly to make Piper come for him and he made it his personal mission to do so. As his first two fingers worked her, swirling and rubbing with a steady rhythm, Max kept up his thrusts, each new buck of his hips with a more power than the last. His speed seemed to increase as well, primal instincts begging to take over his mind as all reasoning began to slip. All he could feel was lust and pleasure, and underneath that a notion of pure happiness that he wasn’t the only killer in the room.

No longer cold to the core, Piper couldn't help but wonder if anyone else could have replaced that chill the way he had. She strongly doubted it, it just didn't seem possible that there was anyone other than Maxxie who could have replaced everything that she'd been feeling with this heat. When the hands that had been exploring his back were taken away, Piper was torn between disappointment to no longer have his flesh beneath her fingers and the realization just how intensely arousing it was to have that control stripped away. With their lips seemingly locked together, she felt the groans from his mouth as much as she heard them, meeting and mixing with the moans that came from hers. Moans turned to an annoyed whimper as he withdrew, missing the feeling of him inside her in the brief time it took for him to turn her around. Reaching forward to find support on the wall, a short cry of delight flew from her lips as he drove back inside her. Gasping with pleasure at the sudden stimulation that the new angle brought, Piper arched her back as her fingers slipped along the wall. Breath coming in jerky pants as his hands moved to her breasts, Piper could feel the tell tale signs of her release building. Free hand going to capture one of his, she somewhat reluctantly pulled it from her chest to lead it down her damp flesh. Slipping their paired fingers between her thighs, a shaky moan parted her lips as the digits brushed against the bundle of nerves there.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Max’s hands paused their travelling all over her body for a moment to run through Piper’s hair, pulling back her face so he could kiss her inviting mouth properly. Every second that he wasn’t lip-locked with her seemed like a second wasted, and he wasn’t entirely sure how he’d get through  next day’s trivial tasks without it. He didn’t want to think of any of that, at all. Surely the sweet sounds of Piper’s moans would drown the notions out, but there wasn’t nearly enough of that. Hot water hit his back, the sensation sending shivers down his spine as he too became soaked just as she was. Max’s movements were as strong as the arms that held her against the wall- which had just then moved along hers to pin her wrists high above. He groaned into her mouth, over and over again, with ragged breaths, stuck in a state that he would have killed to have lasted forever. Just Piper and him, no problems, no worries. Suddenly overcome with new vigor, Max pulled out just long enough to let Pipers feet drop to the tiles. Hands fell and clutched her hips, turning the soaked brunette around to face the wall rather than him. Reaching over to bend her forward a bit, Max let his shaft plunge back into her and he groped at her breasts from behind as the pitter-patter of falling water surrounded them both. With this new access Max sought her sweetest of spots while his own edge grew closer and closer.

As Maxxie began to move inside of her, Piper let out yet another contented sigh at the growing friction she felt. While the unforgiving surface of the counter proved to be a worthy opponent, Piper was unwilling to give in to the restrictions it provided. The combination of the powerful pace that was being set and the seemingly constant pressure he was providing against her skin was a heady one, one that felt more intoxicating than Piper could even imagine. Still, she used whatever strength she could find to not simply lean back and enjoy his movements but to respond. After a failed attempt or two, Piper managed to leverage herself in a manner that meant that she could respond to each thrust, rising to grind herself against his pubic bone with the motion and drop back with a sigh as he pulled away. There had never been any doubt in her mind that Maxxie would be skilled at this sort of thing, though at the moment she couldn't figure out why she had waited so long. She couldn't recall any other moment where something had felt so right or made her feel so alive, not even earlier that day. An especially hard thrust shocked the air from her lungs, the sharp hiss turning into a moan as she ground herself against him. As she found herself lifted from the countertop, Piper took the opportunity to dip her head to his neck, exploring the skin with her lips, tongue darting out now and again to taste the sweat on his skin. It was only when the steam began to fill the shower that Piper realized where he'd moved them. She didn't particularly care either way. Counter, shower, middle of the main street in town. At that moment, Maxxie could have taken her anywhere he wanted so long as he promised to stay inside her. Promised to keep pushing away every memory of what had happened with every thrust. When he began again, Piper's head fell with a soft groan. Lips pressing briefly against his shoulder, she nipped at the skin there and stifled a longer moan into his flesh.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Blurs danced at the edges of Max’s vision and he pulled back excruciatingly slowly only to thrust roughly into Piper again. The sensation of her hands tugging at his hair made him feel giddy with delight, adding to the pleasure that the youth was already feeling. Dark, lust-blown pupils glanced up to their reflections in the mirror, just another homely confirmation that this was real and actually happening. Another thrust and Max picked up a steady rhythm  going not too fast but with quite a lot of vigor. He sighed and groaned into her skin, kissing and sucking at it roughly, his lips touching every inch of skin that they could and leaving trails of hot red in their path. His hands grasped and pulled, raking along her thighs, and down her back and sides, as if she wasn’t close enough to him already. In the pit of Max’s stomach, he could already feel his levels of  ecstasy rising, and it was unbelievable to him at how good Piper felt. He couldn’t deny that the thinly veiled feeling of victory that Max felt had something to do with that. From day one, he’d wanted to be in this spot with the beautiful brunette before him, and now it seemed that not giving up had finally payed off. In a fleeting thought, he realized that Piper was still rather cold from being in the rain for god knows how long. Even though their current engagement was quickly alleviating that, he decided to make a move. After a particularly hard movement, Max didn’t pull back, instead grabbing her legs and picking her up. Two steps and they’d stepped onto the cool black marble floor of his shower and Max had her against the wall. A hand reached blindly out to turn the water on before he found his rhythm and heavy breathing once again.

There had been a moment when Piper was afraid that Maxxie would feel the need to be gentle, to coddle her. To turn this into some twisted example of making love when what she needed was purely physical and primal. That notion was dismissed when his hands grabbed hold of her flesh, digging in deliciously as her weight was pulled towards him. The tease of his head against her was almost too much, so close to giving her exactly what she was craving but so far. Eyes closing, Piper sucked her lower lip into her mouth as the sound of his sighs filled her ears. The anticipation of his movement made the time feel nearly endless, though she knew it wasn't. When it finally came, all Piper felt was relief. As if she'd been waiting for nothing other than this for as long as she'd known Maxxie. It couldn't be further from the truth in her waking mind, but on a physical level there wasn't another truth. As he entered her, a sigh flew from her lips at the sudden sensation. The hand that hand been toying with his hair went to tug against it as his head met her neck, wanting to feel the pressure of his lips against hers as he filled her. Her other hand clenched against the exposed flesh of his shoulder, nails digging in as her body adjusted to the delicious fullness she was suddenly experiencing. Enjoying the sensation, Piper wiggled her hips slightly with a low moan before raising a leg to hook around his waist, wanting nothing more than for him to be closer than he already was, if it were even possible.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
The corners of Max’s mouth curled upwards in a smirk. He couldn’t help but adore how difficult it was for her to respond to him, with his little onslaught going on. Maxxie, she called him, same as always. At first, he’d had little regard for the pet name but now the youth kind of like that too. Although, he couldn’t guarantee being completely okay if someone else other than Piper called him that. In fact, the mere notion almost pissed him off right then and there. Max’s mouth ate up her soft moans hungrily, and he continued for just a moment longer before his own frustration began to take a toll. His thoughts jumbled and strained, and Max needed her- in that instance, so very badly. He tugged off her panties in a sudden movement, doing away with his own undergarments as well. Fingers curled into the soft and creamy skin of Pipers thighs, pulling her closer to him and him closer to her. His length, which had been hard for a while now brushed over the wetness of her womanhood and Max let out a lust-filled sigh. This, everything and what was about to happen- it felt so right and he knew Piper felt the same way, too. Before she could begin squirming, he bucked his hips forward, fully entering her and groaning into the crook of Piper’s shoulder.

She didn't know what she was doing and yet in the same moment, she knew exactly what she was doing. In the back of her mind, a little voice insisted that none of this made sense. But to the majority of her brain and most certainly to her body, this made perfect sense. In fact, what didn't make sense to her body was the fact that she hadn't done it before. Piper thought that if she had it probably wouldn't have been like this. It wouldn't have felt so raw or so real. It definitely wouldn't have felt so right. Two people broken beyond imagination trying to fix each other or at the very least forget their pain by replacing it with something else. If there was a way to keep things permanently at bay, she would do anything necessary for that to happen. And if that thing meant keeping Maxxie's body against her own, with that hair that was so much softer than it looked tangled through her fingers, Piper was beginning to realize that she would do it gladly. It was possible that maybe it didn't even need to be this, maybe it could just be Maxxie.
The thought escaped her mind as his lips traveled to her breasts and she found herself unable to think. A shock ran through her as he found her nipple and the breath rushed from her lungs with a hiss and her hands clenched against him as she arched towards his lips. Too soon it was gone again though she had no time to complain before she felt her skirt being wrenched from her hips with a force and skill that would have been awe inspiring if it hadn't been the furthest thing from her mind. Despite knowing it couldn't have taken more than seconds, it felt like an eternity and Piper was about to tell Maxxie to forget the shoes and socks because she didn't really care. She just wanted him. She just wanted the heat and pressure of his body against hers. In the next instant it was back, giving her body that pleasant buzz as if there was a constant electrical charge jumping from him to her. Raising an eyebrow at his question, Piper opened her mouth to respond to his question but the words were lost the instant his fingers snaked under her panties. All she could manage in that first second was a hitching breath. When his fingers found her clitoris, a soft moan escaped her lips as her hips jerked involuntarily at his touch. "Almost, Maxxie." Eventually she found her voice to reply. And it was better, not perfect, but it was getting closer.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Her hands brushed his aside and Max was thankful. His concentration was scattered and all over the place on purpose; a last-ditch effort to banish those dark thoughts that would always haunt him and focus on Piper.  She would keep them away. She would always keep them away, and for that Max was very grateful. He wanted to make her happy more than anything else in the world. Her hands in his light brown hair had warranted the softest of moans from his lips at the sensation. He couldn’t help but want to feel her fingers coaxing through them at all times instead of these. Max had a fleeting thought of the both of them lying somewhere, his head on her lap, her hands in his hair and their hearts beating together as one. No nightmares, no ghosts.
Max thumbed the coy little smile that appeared upon her mouth, immediately meeting them with his own once again. Once she undid his belt, Max easily kicked off his jeans and swept his hips closer, grinding against her for a moment. He shivered at the fingertips that traced his shoulders before letting his lips travel down and over her collarbone, going even lower. Over her breasts, Max’s head leaned down to kiss and suck, his tongue swirling gently over her nipple as his hands traveled back down to her waist. He kept her on the counter and pulled off her school skirt, yanking it quite suddenly along with hands that moved down her legs. Piper’s shoes and socks were the next to go and once they hit the floor, his body moved against her again as he straightened. Now there was less clothing. “Is that better, princess?” Before she could answer, Max slipped a couple fingers into the hem of her lacy white panties and located the warmth of her clitoris, immediately massaging it in an effort to stimulate.

With the sound of his exhale, Piper couldn't help but realize how badly she wanted this. How badly she wanted not only to feel something but for Maxxie to be the one that made her feel it. Maybe it was the months of arguing and banter that had led to that or maybe it had always been there and their interactions had only served to hide it. Whatever it was, Piper couldn't help but shrug her shoulders to help him shed her jacket and try and do her best to assist in tugging the damp fabric of her shirt from her skin. As his hands ran over the newly exposed skin, a shiver ran down her spine and goose bumps jumped out on her flesh. Feeling his hand meet hers at the hem of his shirt, Piper aided him in tugging the fabric part way up before slipping her hand from his. Teeth going to graze her lower lip as she reached behind her, the girl deftly unclasped her bra. Allowing the straps to slide down her arms, her eyes flicked up to meet Maxxie's for a moment before pulling the white lace from her body and tossing it aside. Without the added barrier of clothing, the sudden feeling of his warm flesh pressing into hers as their lips met again was truly titillating. Softly whimpering in protest as his lips left hers, her hands slid upwards. One went to tug at his hair in an attempt to bring his focus back to her lips, a motion that quickly stopped as his mouth journeyed to her neck. With a gasp, Piper tilted her head to the side in order to grant him more access there. The other went to gently trace along the muscles of his exposed shoulders. For perhaps the first time, she understood how you could get caught up in lust. That there was an undeniable mixture of want, need and attraction that made it impossible to escape. And she didn't want to escape, it was the last thing she wanted, the furthest thing from her mind. Jarred out of that thought by the sudden force of strong hands lifting her onto the counter Piper eagerly spread her thighs as Maxxie moved to stand between them. Glancing down as his hands moved to his belt buckle, Piper reached forward to brush them aside. Looking up at him with the ghost of a smile on her lips, her fingers took hold of the belt buckle and made quick work of it before slipping the button of his pants and carefully drawing down the zipper.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Max let out a sharp breath when Piper nipped at his bottom lip, mind beginning to cloud with sullen sparks of arousal. He’d always wanted Piper in a sense, ever since their very first encounter. She’d been the first to throw his advances right back at him and such a foreign response only made the youth want her more. A short nod of agreement to Piper’s statement, and his fingers were hiking up her school uniform even more, one hand roughly tugging off her jacket as the other broke their kiss to pull her damp shirt over her arms. Max tossed the wet articles of clothing to the bathroom floor with little regard, his hands already exploring the cold skin over her stomach, ribs, sides and back. What had initially began as a quest, had inadvertently transformed into something else- there was no denying it. Max knew full well that Piper wasn’t like any other girl that he’d come across. She’d seen him at his very worst, and he wasn’t about to let her escape to anywhere without him. Warm and slender fingers moved over her grip on his own dark cotton t-shirt, and Max pulled up until his shirt came off too. Lips locked back onto hers, sucking, kissing, moving down her jaw to her neck. Last slivers of doubt fell slowly from his mind, as if they knew exactly how futile it was to stop them now. With his breathing getting heavier by the second, Max’s grip fell to her thighs, suddenly picking Piper up a pushing her back onto the counter. His body moved between her legs, and hands explored once again, this time to fumble with his belt buckle.

Eyes staying locked on his, Piper fought the urge to turn the request into a demand by closing the tiny yet infuriating gap between their lips. It took all of her strength not to do it but rather to wait, to let him confirm that in that instant he wanted her as badly as she wanted him. That he needed her like she needed him. Or at the very least, he was willing to give her what she needed. The answer came not from his mouth or even lips, but rather by sudden warm hands against her flesh. Eyes closing at the sensation, a sigh of relief passed through her lips as they worked their way up her torso. Parting her lips automatically as his tongue swept the curve of them, the hand at the back of his head shifted to twine into his hair as their lips finally connected. She didn't want to think or remember, she just wanted to feel. That was the only thing Piper could think of as she arched herself in Maxxie, hungrily responding to his lips on hers as though they were the only thing that mattered. And in many ways, they were. Her free hand slid down his side, coming to a stop to grab a fistful of fabric near the hem. Pulling her head back slightly with some regret, Piper paused to nip at Maxxie's lower lip before glancing down at their bodies. "Too many clothes." Somehow, she managed to get the words out in a single breath. It was something that she was almost surprised by as between the lingering traces of hysteria and the sudden awareness of an undeniable spark between them, her breath seemed to be coming in shallower bursts than ever before.
Anything But Lost | Piper & Max
Max watched her mouth as she spoke and he took quick note that Piper had been driven by her anger. Fury was a peculiar thing, but the privileged  youth wouldn’t know. He’d never felt actual outrage towards anything, let alone any one. He’d never cared enough to. But the small sparks of fire that seemed to ignite behind Piper’s bright eyes as she relayed what happened- Max liked this other side of her. She had passion. Ghosts of his past flickered along the young man’s peripherals, threatening to haunt him once again and pull him back into his sins. “You’d be surprised how little there is for me here,” he remarked, cryptic as ever. Max’s gut suddenly lurched, as though begging him to reveal his infidelities as well. Was it really fair that Piper should come here- of all places- and confide in him? Right then, he was wondering what wrongs he did to deserve this, or perhaps, what right. Because to him, Piper seemed like a blessing in disguise. A signal of reassurance of sorts, that he was not alone. That she was indeed be just as ruined as he was.
The tip of Max’s fingers paused at the edge of her chin before curling back into his hand, and the smallest of smirks tugged at the corner of his mouth at her subtle threat. His breath involuntarily caught when Piper suddenly pushed forward, closer, and into him. The warmth of her words on Max’s parted lips sent shivers up his spine. For a whole moment, he held the tention between them, listening to the silent crackle of electricity. He knew what she meant, because that vivacious feeling was exactly what he so craved right then, too. Max said nothing, his hands suddenly falling to her waist to slip between her cold skin and that heavy wet shirt, tugging up. He closed his eyes, breathing her scent in and then tilted his head into hers. Tongue traced her bottom expertly before slipping between them and deepening the kiss into something a little more eager. All judgement and other dark thoughts disappeared, replaced with a single desire to help Piper feel, just like she’d asked. He owed her that much at least for fending off what scared him because even though Max might have not be afraid of her, but his nightmares certainly were.
