dashhastings:
“You know that’s not what I meant,” Dash said with a gasp as he pointed a finger at her before he chuckled softly shaking his head. “Also I am a gentleman so of course, I buy dinner first, who do you think my momma raised.” Dash continued to shake his head. “Oh, there is a scrunch, right there in the bridge of your nose. I know I saw it. Can’t tell me otherwise.”
“Oh, sure I did. Absolutely, one hundred percent.’ she replied with a grin, “A fool, if someone wants you to get physical, they should be buying you dinner first, c’mon Hastings.” she pretended to scold with a roll of her eyes, the action ruined by the smirk still present on her lips. “I do not scrunch.” she protested, though even as she said it she was doing it.

“Okay! Easy we can work with this. We build up your Instagram following to start, we can use Pinterest to build that out too, but sharing your posts there for people to track down.” Issy suggested with a huge smile as her mind began to wander to all the possibilities. “I think it’s an amazing idea Pippa, I mean you should do what you love right?”
Pippa listened carefully, amazed at how much the other woman knew about building a profile. “Oh god, hearing all this makes me realise how dangerous you can be. You make this sound so easy, you are a force to be reckoned with Issy Cresswell, remind me to never get on your bad side.” she replied with a grin, “But, ... yeah I think I’m finally in a position to take the courses. The promotion at the Apothecary made such a big difference, the whole having a full time job, and then still working at L’Atelier... I can actually do it now, there’s nothing stopping me.”

ezra:
Ezra chuckled as the woman spoke. “I have an English degree, so I paid a lot of money to make it official that I know pretty much nothing useful,” he joked, although he didn’t think that was really that much of a stretch. “So I don’t know how much I can really help you.”
'Well, in that case, there’s the door see ya.” she replied with a grin, “What the hell is the point of the degree if you know nothing useful?” she asked with a chuckle. College had never been an option for her, given she never graduated high school -- but she’d always been a mix of envious and proud when Cassie and her sister had gone on to study.

“Honestly? You know I’m the last person you should be asking that.” Jonathan mused at Pippa’s question, though he was curious as to what she seemed to working so diligently on. “I mean, I have to work with some of it daily with my job and have been taking ‘lessons’ of sorts…” He found himself continuing. “Not sure if I should refer you to my ‘teacher.’ What is it for?”
"...But you’re super young and tech savvy-- oh wait, it’s you. I forgot momentarily that you’re an old man.” she teased, “Oh god is it like when they get old people into the high school so the kids can like, teach them Word and stuff... it is isn’t it, admit it.”
#idk if they do that in schools in the states but ok my school did this#and we had old people come in and we taught them things like how to google#and how to email#and it was part of our computer science grade & community service hours#& I got the sweetest little old guy#anywho story time with hannah#c:#c:jonathan

“I mean I might dabble in such things,” Sophia offered with a small smile. “Being the CEO of a medical technology company translates a bit into other things. “What are you working on?” She asked curiously.
"Well, at Monster Jam a lot of girls were asking about my make up or nails.” she explained, “I explained I did them myself, and they were all excited asking for my page and where could they follow me and when I said I didn't have one they looked at me like I was an alien or had spouted three heads or something.”

Ryan winced and shook his head, offering a small smile in return. “M’not very good at it, nah. I mean I can stumble through most things, but m’not confident in givin’ out advice. Have you tried like a tech store or somethin’? What’re you tryin’ to understand?”
"Setting up some kind of page to display things I paint or make...” she admitted, “It’s too overwhelming, do I put it as a business page, do I use instagram or facebook? Or both? It’s just hardi damn.”

Anya snorted softly. “I have absolutely no idea about either,” she said. “Although I thought the whole point of technology was that you could use it to learn anything. Otherwise what is the point of having inexhaustible knowledge at the tips of your fingers?”
“Yeah, but sometimes talking to people who may have experienced is not only easier but more beneficial than just googling it...” she replied with a shrug, “Googling is lazy, and also... cold sometimes people have the valuable experience they haven’t shared on the internet.”

Arthur shrugged. “Those are two fairly broad subject matters,” he pointed out. “What ‘tech’ do you need figured out? What kind of business are you trying to run? It’s a little difficult to help without having any details.”
"I do mostly like, nail art and make up and people are asking if I’ll do weddings, or tutorials, so... I don’t even know where to begin to promo that.”

I was raised by boys. I can hold my own, I can fight, and I love horror movies - simply for the scare factor and the surrealism

dash:
Dash winced as well and he gave her a flabbergasted look as he shrugged his shoulders hopelessly. “I mean… Oliver is pretty awesome at this stuff. I’m sadly the wrong Hastings to be of any assistance my expertise typically come in the phsycial form…” Dash paused realizing how that sounded. “You know like helping people moving and saving them from burning buildings.” He added quickly. “I mean when you do that little scrunching thing with your nose its pretty cute, so maybe give yourself more credit.”
Pippa grinned a little, biting her lip to stifle the giggle that was threatening as his comment, “Kinky, do you at least make sure people buy you dinner first or do you just jump straight to the getting physical part?” she replied, unable to help herself. He made it too easy. “Oh, totally, that’s ... totally where my mind went.” she bit her lip to hide her smirk. “Little scrunching thing? I do not scrunch, what scrunching thing?”

“Well I mean, not super business savy but I’ve had some success with my photography and social media following because of that. I don’t know that I’d be any crazy help but you know I’m always here for you Pip,” Issy said with a shrug of the shoulders.
"Some girls saw my nails and what not at Monster Jam, and wanted to know who did them. When they heard I did, they were all what’s your page?” she explained with a shrug, “I figured, I’d at least display them... maybe look into getting qualified.”

kitty:
Kitty smiled softly. “I’m trying to learn myself,” she said. “It’s a really long way off, but someday I wanna own my own bakery. So I know some stuff, but I’m not an expert by any means.” She gave a little shrug and another smile. “But maybe I can help anyway?”
“Damn, that would be cool. I mean, having your own business would be amazing. I just paint nails and do makeup and other odd bits, but I get a lot of requests and questions about websites and I just don’t know... I figured it would be a good little side thing.”

zinnia:
Zinnia gave a little laugh and shook her head. “No, sorry,” she said. “I took, like, one marketing class in college. I got an A in it cause it was pretty easy, but if you asked me to tell you anything we learned, I 100% could not.”
"That’s like a whole class more than I’ve ever taken.” she replied, she had never even gotten her GED, let alone gone to college. It hadn’t been an option for her, despite the fact she could’ve got the grades for it. “I think I’ll call in a favour, my sister has a few college friends that could help, no doubt.”
