Doing some more speculation, I have a feeling the lone pink tree we see in mlp a new generation is all that's left of twilight's castle, maybe the tree of harmony used it's remaining magic to grow it as a reminder of what was. That would mean field of flowers surrounding it is where ponyville once was.

i really hope that somewhere in the gen 5 run the mane 5 find the elements of harmony in SOME shape or form ??? and that former gen 4 lore is brought back and built upon and we have worldbuilding, plot, etc.

im just really excited for what gen 5 brings tbh !!!

I like the headcanon that if all the alicorns from G4 are dead by G5, Celestia and Luna sort of became one with the sun and moon as they passed and that's how the day/night cycle keeps going.

Also I like to think that the ray of sunshine that directed Sunny's attention towards the earth pony crystal was actually Celestia purposefully showing the way. Like, they're not physically around to guide and help, but their spirit still kind of lingers on. Idk. I just think it's a sweet thought.
