Do you know that old saying charity starts at home? It really does help the people in your community on your block if you have extra and you wanna help, there are so many people who need help it’s better to help a few individuals then give it to a random charity that ends up, taking most of the money for paying everybody’s salaries, and then they all have views, and some of them aren’t too good like the Salvation Army. I am all for helping, but just make sure you’re looking in to The places you are donating

It’s that time of year to say no to the Salvation Army.

Never forget they let a Trans woman die instead of helping her.

Never forget they have tossed entire families on the street for having an LGBT child.

Never forget they tell non Christian families that unless they convert they will not help them.

Never forget that the Salvation Army is bigoted and hateful, many of the bell ringers routinely heckle and harass LGBT couples.

I totally understand what you mean  and yeah for the whole public apology thing I think a lot of people think that if they give this substanceless apology like sorry everybody should just be like oh my God they said they were sorry. Oh my God that’s it. They’ve totally changed when in reality me personally, I need a little bit more than that and when their first apology looks very scripted and doesn’t have any of them in it I am immediately  go this person clearly doesn’t give a shit who they hurt because they just gave this half ass apology.  from that point on no matter what they do after that, I won’t take them seriously because they tried to pull a stunt like that  And then you have people who have all these rules around like what they will not forgive, and then their favourite artist does one of those things and they’re just like making every excuse in the book and how it’s not the same thing and there’s just so many layers to this I could go on for days. I hope you understand what I’m saying.

edit: oh wait let me say one more thing. sometimes it feels like y’all don’t actually care about accountability for people’s actions, you just want to project whatever you want onto the person based on whether you like them or not. because if someone doesn’t say something publicly or doesn’t feel authentic enough then they aren’t really sorry and they haven’t changed. but if they do say something and it seems sincere and polished then it’s media training. so they can’t win

Fair enough and honestly it’s easy enough to spot once you figure it out and honestly for me personally what I found helpful it’s just finding videos on YouTube of people talking about this because then you start understanding the tones  and yeah, I agree with you so many people don’t actually want to take accountability or really see improvement in people because I’m sorry in my personal opinion just saying sorry isn’t an apology. There are multiple layers to an apology and if they aren’t all hit then what the hell was the point of doing any of it and honestly because of all these like videos and shit we have become so desensitized to this that I feel like a lot of us watching those stupid, crying apology videos. It’s kind of like this just seems fake at this point you know it’s one of those things. It sucks that we don’t properly Hold people accountable I hope one day more people are willing to hold people accountable because that’s how we improve

OK this is not me trying to start an argument or anything along those lines but I just would like to say that sometimes it’s easy to spot when it’s like a trained response like they will hit certain notes but won’t become as authentic and genuine so for example, they may say something along the lines of I’m really sorry to the people I’ve hurt that could come off as a media training or scripted, but if they were to say something along the lines of, I am very sorry for what I have done and I promise to do better that sounds more genuine. Not only do they not try to shift the blame at all but they take accountability and promise to do better in the future. I don’t know the specific comments you’re talking about so please if I’m out of line, let me know.  I am not here to start a fight or anything like that. I’m just kind of throwing my two cents in to maybe that’s why they’re not taking it so seriously may be the way it was worded wasn’t sincere, and seemed scripted.

Yes tear everything down to the studs and rebuilt the game itself is an interesting game and a great concept it’s just not being executed properly at every level

I don't even want this show canceled. All I want is someone with a brain at cbs/paramount to recognize how much this huge IP is being fumbled and do a whole production overhaul/rebranding/theming change. Yes that means new casting team, new host, new protocols, a new house, and more importantly a better editing team that will treat the format, houseguests and storylines, and audience with respect.

So the end of legacies the show had a lot of rough patches let’s be honest but nonetheless had some really great moments and had so much potential if they would’ve just used it but I’m not gonna get into that I’m just going to say that I am going to miss the show dearly I feel like a lot of the endings were rushed but that is to be expected overall I feel like they gave the best ending they could to the characters and for now I say goodbye to the vampire diaries universe

Klaus was in no way a good person or even really redeemable but he was an interesting character and I like him for that reason I would never wanna come across someone even remotely like him in the real world

Klaus Mikaelson went to peace and no matter how happy I am for Hope, I can’t help but think that you can be the worst villain ever and obviously a daughter (not a son, no, a daughter who is your child and also a woman) is going to redeem you, and that’s so much a cliché I just…

It’s not only who tells the story, it’s more about facts. And even our worst historical people loved someone when they did genocides… I liked Klaus Mikaelson character, but he wasn’t good.

I don’t really ship one particular ship but it’s been hinted at enough that hope is bisexual at the very least so she needs to kiss a girl by the end of the show because if I’m not getting another season I at least wanna get that also no more Landon please I really can’t do it anymore I do not like that pairing

Honestly when I first heard which shows were getting cancelled I decided to look into the ratings because normally that’s why because it’s not pulling the ratings but then I realize that a few of the shows that got cancelled are rated higher than Riverdale which got renewed and that doesn’t make sense to me no shame to Riverdale or whoever watches it but the fact that it continuously gets renewed and shows that are performing better don’t is highly suspicious and I think maybe there’s something I’m missing but as of now that’s suspicious to me  and also very frustrating because I hate when shows end on a cliffhanger that is the worst

Yes please seriously just give them the opportunity to finish off their story even if it’s not in the best way at least there’s no cliffhanger I would rather watch a poor ending then be left off unresolved
