february 24, 2025 | and that's a wrap on february listening! hit a bit of a rut this month, but i just realized i wasn't listening to music that was angry enough. thank you amyl and the sniffers. january 28, 2025 | biiiig new years resolution girl here. one of my resolutions this year (among the usual suspects) is to engage with media more thoughtfully. part of this effort is broadening my musical horizons!! i'm aiming to listen to a new-to-me record every day this year and i wrapped up my january newbies this morning 🥲 this is an open invitation to send me album recs whenever! even if u think i won't like it! i need new stuff!

january 20, 2025 | i woke up this morning feeling particularly weary; like a lot of things were happening around me that i had no control over. thankfully, deciding what's for dinner has become a meditative process, instead of just the bane of my existence. this i have control over. the morning after the election, when i was having a good cry, i asked logan what the fuck we were gonna do. he told me, "chow to chow." i guess that's the marine corps way of saying, "one day at a time." chow to chow, meal to meal, soup to soup. i've seen a lot of people i love and respect post about their 2016 rage being replaced by a feeling of numbness--holding out no real hope that anyone in charge has our best interest in mind. a wise friend once reminded me that politicians will never set us free. may we find community, lean on each other, and empower one another. soup to soup, my friends.

december 15, 2024 | every day i am thinkin about soup. today i made @chacekitchen's veggie soup w some protein pasta and my god it's delicious. freshly grated parm and chopped parsley and dill make the world go 'round. soup 4 ever (also first mirepoix sunday with my new @wusthof chef's knife 🥲)
