It's always
"When will fanfic writers update their stories?"
And never
"Does this fanfic writer have adequate enrichment to engage in writing behaviours?"
Fanfiction writers (Scriptor fictus) are intelligent animals who need plenty of enrichment as well as encouragement! If they're stuck in poor conditions (e.g. have studies, work, have to actually write to have something written) then they require the proper enrichment to engage in more healthy behaviours, like writing. Remember, due to poor breeding and socialisation, over half of all fanfic writers suffer from low self confidence and executive dysfunction so take care of them!
Give your fanfic writers proper care. Fanfiction writers are a life long commitment.

RAMADAN IS ONCE AGAIN HERE THIS YEAR EXMUSLIMS !
Just reposting some old tips again on my blog!
If you’re secretly eating, be wary of wrappers, bags, empty water bottles, etc. Have a designated place to put them if you can. After iftar, quickly dispose ! Time is important with this one, as it collects your stash is most likely to get noticed. I typically hide them in a corner in my closet, under some clothes I don’t really wear.
If you’re a girl, feel free extend the days of your period if you can. Be cautious when using this since you can only do this once during Ramadan. Sorry boys 😭
Don’t be afraid to look kinda dusty. You’re “not eating” for most of the day so a typical person might look a bit busted and tired.
There’s extra eyes on you since more Muslims are expected to be more religious. If you’re like many of us closeted Muslims, you got to keep up a facade. Make sure this mask stays up to avoid suspicion!
Music! Listen to it in secret and don’t get caught with earbuds in!
Believe in yourself ! You are strong and can get through this.

to be honest i dont really think hijab is a choice in any context. the entire religion of islam puts this immense pressure on girls to cover up. even if your family isnt pressuring you to do it, seeing all your friends take on the hijab one by one, getting asked when youre going to it everyday, seeing all the women around you wear the hijab, it all creates this environment where you have no choice but to follow. hijab therefore isnt a choice anymore, even if no one is directly telling you to do it.
hijab is a choice.
but a choice that is pressured to be taken is not a choice.
not all muslim women are presented hijab as a choice.
some are not given a choice, as it is even illegal to not observe hijab.
some are given a choice, but society pressures them to choose hijab over their own free will.
muslim women who aren't observing the hijab will see consequences, consequences that many muslims keep quiet about.
so yes, hijab is a choice.
but not for everyone.

It really irks my soul when people say shit like hijab protects women from body image issues. I won’t speak for anyone else but when I was a hijabi I had the worst raging ED you can think of to the point my family wondered how I was alive since they never see me eat food. I personally believe hijab escalates the issue because it minimises you. I say minimise because it removes any body parts you have. You cover your curves, chest, your entire shape and it psychologically encourages you to almost disappear. Same trajectory with ED. Both of these have in common of how little they want women taking up space.
ED made me hate my body and hijab and modesty was the bandaid that made me not see the damage I was doing to myself. Modesty isn’t as glamourise as people make it seem. It goes hand in hand with body image issues because it removes the daily reminders that you even have a body.

lol i remember learning about inheritance in islamic class in highschool and was absolutely astonished by how my male islamic teacher was saying some of the most sexist things id ever heard so casually
Actually, some of the many things wrong with islam that aren't cared about are:
1-Its normalization of incest.
2-Its normalization of the sexualisation of little girls and women./ Its sexualisation of little girls and women.
3-Its supremacy claims.
4- Its extreme antisemitism.
5-Its discrimination in religious rules concerning inheritance.
6-Its incredibly unreliable sources.
7-Its divorce rulings.
Do some of you non ex-muslims/ non muslims even know about some of these things, even just a little? /genq

it's not that white liberal feminists truly believed the hijab is honorable, empowering, and a choice, it's just that they care more about "political correctness" than women's rights
Not only the hijab represents purity culture for the middle eastern/muslim woman but it clearly sexualizes every inch of a woman's body, contrary to popular belief. It imposes that unless a woman is covered, she is inherently sexual. And not just her hair, her arms and her legs, in some cases her feet, her face, her hands, and even her eyes. Even the outline of her body has to be concealed because there is always a man who will find it enticing, and this from the ripe age of 9. No matter how inconvenient it is. Not to forget, women are always to some degree pressured if not forced into this "choice" lest they bring shame to their family. How many arab girls have grown up hearing "You can do whatever you want, just keep a hijab on your head."? How many girls have been scolded, threatened, hit, because they were merely talking to a boy? How many girls were forbidden to go to school, to go out of the house until they abandoned their "westernized ideas" and started "dressing decently"? And how many were killed, charged with prostitution, stoned for not not wearing it?
Now, you want to convince me that libfems, the same group that wants to "free the nipple", thought the hijab was empowering for the last decade? Hell nah.
They just don't care. They don't care because they view middle eastern, brown, and Muslim women as lesser. Our suffering and our objectification are nothing compared to their inconvenience. So why would they even think about it? Why would they upset conservative muslim men and women ? They have been overlooking every honor killing for years now to not make muslims look bad.
Today it's trendy to oppose forced hijab, tomorrow, they'll forget about us.

The way that muslims are complaining that the iranian oppression isnt "real islam" or "hijab is islamically a choice" or iranian women are somehow being islamophobic for burning our hijabs... like, cmon. muslims, especially muslim women, will see the bodies of millions of women honor killed, brutally slaughtered for practicing the bare minimum of bodily autonomy, fully condoned by islamic scripture, and pretend it isnt real even though they KNOW it is. ask them why they wear a hijab and itll boil down to "ill go to hell if i dont" if theyre being honest.
muslim women will seriously stand next to the piles of corpse of woman their ideologies slaughtered like animals and complain that its making them look bad.
The following images are scripture that prove hijab is compulsory - or in arabic, wajib - and considering muslim countries run on SHARIA law, which literally translates to "commandments [of islam]", sharia law runs strictly on the scripture provided. NOTHING about hijab is cultural. it is an oppression tactic that was reworded to make it seem nicer. Where im from in Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed in certain stores. instead, they ask for what they want from a little window outside so theres no space to fill between the men and women. When my mom told me this, i said: "What am I, a dog? Theyre making me stay outside in the heat wearing a black niqab while the men get to go inside and cool down?" and she responded, "No, its because it's easier for us. Dont compare yourself to a dog." which i found funny, because there are hadiths of mohammed comparing women to dogs and donkies and there are hadiths of his wives complaining about it. The entire time i ordered, by the way, the man wouldnt look me in the eye. even though my eyes were the only thing showing.
Hijabs are not to cover beauty. Hijabs originated by blackmail from one of the caliphs after watching one of mo's wives use the bathroom outside. Mo was so embarrassed, he commanded it. of course, slave women, even muslim slave women, were not allowed to wear it and were forced to be topless and naked in the streets to make sure everyone knew they were rapable. raping slave women, "what your right hand possesses", as the quran describes them, is halal - permissable. theres even a hadith that specifies you dont have to pull out and can impregnate them if you want. its halal.
hijabs are dog collars. hijabs are to differentiate between slaves and owned women. I AM OWNED, under islamic law. the male guardianship law.
get your heads out of your own asses and stop trying to be woke supporting both sides. you are supporting murder. you are supporting femicide.

As a maritime hyperfixational freak and a butch I have so many feelings about how lesbians in the 1950’s would get a 5-point nautical star tattoo on their wrist where it could be covered by a watch or other form of bracelet/band.
I have a lot of feelings about this because the nautical star has a lot of meanings, but some of the most common are luck and protection. It was a way to quickly identify other lesbians, but it was also a statement in itself and I adore that.
I am here and I am queer. Show me the way home. Show me luck. Show me a safe place to go.

Writing Tips
Punctuating Dialogue
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”
