[Image ID: A poem in two columns, which can be read together or apart.
The first column is entitled "Jekyll", and with punctuation added for clarity, it reads "my dear Utterson, I'm terribly sorry, but you have to know. I was living, but not always fully whole. my own self was asking dozens of questions; they are answered by Edward Hyde. what he has done, that is my doing. this sorry tale, the story of Dr. Jekyll."
The second column is entitled "Hyde", and with punctuation added for clarity, it reads "I've done it. I've finally done it. I am free, alive, afraid no longer, now split in two in the dark. who am I? hard to believe the name Henry Jekyll is who I am. this alter ego will be remembered as one Mr. Hyde."
When read together, the two halves read "my dear Utterson, I've done it. I'm terribly sorry, but I've finally done it. you have to know I am free. I was living, but not alive, always afraid, fully whole no longer. my own self, now split in two, was in the dark, asking who am I? dozens of questions. hard to believe they are answered by the name Edward Hyde, Henry Jekyll. what he has done is who I am. that is my doing, this alter ego. this sorry tale will be remembered as the story of one Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde."

[Image ID: A screenshot from the anime Cardcaptor Sakura, featuring three schoolgirls in green and white sailor uniforms seated around a table in a library, with several others out of focus or seated with their backs to the camera. The first girl, with round glasses and a bob haircut, is standing to the left end of the table, holding a book. Another, with large bulbous braids on either side of her head and purple eyes, is seated at the right of the table looking intently towards the standing girl. A third, who appears to be the speaker and has a pixie cut and her eyes seemingly closed, is sitting between them and raising her index finger in the direction of the standing girl, though it appears as if she is emphasizing her speech rather than pointing. The subtitle along the bottom reads "Two thirds of all cats on Earth right now are aliens." /.End ID]

[ID: A Tumblr poll which has been converted into a poem. The options cannot be selected, and along with the line at the bottom normally reserved for the remaining time and number of votes, they read:
I would repeat the timeloop to save you
over and
over and
over again
that doesn't matter
but what if I wish it did?
but what if I wish anything I did mattered?
what if I had opinions and thoughts outside the boundaries of
4 minutes, or even
just 12 options
but I don't, not to you
this is the last you'll hear. sickening to me, but
This poll is not available at the moment.

[Image ID: A poem written in two columns and entirely in lowercase letters, entitled "a dying star in the trenches of wwi". Each column can be read separately, as the individual thoughts of the poem's two narrators, or they can be read together as one whole.
The left column reads "my love, i know your heart, its nervous tendencies. in this moment, love is our undoing. it is something that i do not mind very much; i promise this to you: we will no longer worry soon. when it all ends, we will get a beach house, and kiss with the curtains open".
The right column reads "i am afraid. you love me. i know every bit of you beside me is more than i can ask for. but this will not save us. the bullet can kill more than love heals. it is deadly, and i fear that it will take us soon. i love you softly and terribly. we will stay together. i promise that in heaven, if we die, we can dance, and cling together forever".
Read together, the poem reads "my love, i am afraid. i know you love me. i know your heart, every bit of its nervous tendencies. you beside me in this moment is more than i can ask for. but this love will not save us. the bullet is our undoing. it can kill more than love heals. it is something that is deadly, and i fear i do not mind that it will take us soon. i love you very much; softly and terribly. i promise this to you: we will stay together. we will no longer worry soon. i promise that when it all ends, in heaven, we will get a beach house, and if we die, we can dance, kiss and cling together with the curtains open forever"

I'm going to take a rare moment to break character here below the cut. This blog was made for promoting accessibility - we take posts we enjoy or think are important, and we add plaintext descriptions so that people can experience them a little bit easier. It's our tiny way of making our world a better place, and it necessarily reflects our thoughts, but is not the place to share them; we're here to describe the post, not add to it, so this may genuinely be the only time we ever do this, though only time will tell.
I've seen this post before. I've read it each time, and thought it was wonderful. But I had never truly experienced it, never felt what it was trying to make me feel. Transcribing this - lingering on every word, making painstakingly sure I didn't make even a single mistake, deliberating over every inch at length, searing every letter into my mind to make sure it was correct and didn't misrepresent the original - broke me. It's 3am, and I'm sitting in the bathroom writing this and sobbing, and it hurts in the most beautiful way. This is what it means to love. To care so purely and deeply that even death seems trivial and inconsequential as long as you're together, because even after all the horrors of war, now you can dance, and kiss, and cling together with the curtains open forever.
Thank you, OP. I genuinely don't have any other words to say but thank you. I don't believe I will forget this for the rest of my life.
~ Mod Noel
i wrote a twin cinema poem about two gay soldiers in wwi
context: the two sides, read separately, are the two soldiers thinking about their futures with each other. when read together, it's a reflection of their final thoughts when they die together struck by bullets <3

PSA for leftists who drive
As much as I appreciate the sentiment and boldness, you should NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES put blatant ACAB (and general far left) bumper stickers on your car. You WILL be pulled over for a bullshit reason, and if you are pulled over for a legitimate reason you'll likely be arrested OR WORSE instead of just being written a ticket or a warning. Doubly so if you're a poc and/or visibly queer (ESPECIALLY transfems & people read as transfems).
I've been victim to police brutality on two separate occasions, in one of which I was nearly shot because my car window was broken and couldn't roll down. For your safety, you should do everything in your power to avoid provoking cops when you are in a situation where you are alone with them.

[Image ID: A series of small pixel art animations in a consistent style that are variations of the Nyan Cat meme, in which a gray cat with a pink poptart for a body flies through space leaving a trail of rainbows, set to an upbeat chiptune song which constantly repeats "Nyan", the Japanese word for "meow", as its only lyric. Each of the pixel art animations portrays a different variation on the meme:
The original Nyan Cat, redone in the series' smaller art style.
A variation with light purple fur, a green poptart, and a slightly more pastel rainbow, on a dark purple background.
A variation which quickly flashes through various different fur and poptart colors, with a dark gray background and stars that slowly fade through the colors of the rainbow.
A variation with light blue fur, a gray poptart with light blue crust, and a white-to-blue gradient trail, on a light blue background. A small yellow halo floats over the cat's head.
A variation with dark red fur, a light red poptart with dark gray crust, and a white-to-dark-red gradient trail, on a dark red background. The cat has small white horns and is carrying a dark red pitchfork.
A variation with dark green fur, a dark purple poptart, and a dark purple gradient trail. The cat is wearing a large black witch's hat with a purple band, riding a broom, and is followed by a tiny black bat.
A variation with light pink fur, a white poptart, and a dark-red-to-white gradient trail, on a red background. A large red heart floats over the cat's head.
A variation with a dark gray poptart with light gray crust, and a white-to-blue gradient trail, on a gray-blue background. The cat is wearing a black top hat with a white band, and a wine glass is settled on its back, with the wine sloshing up out of the glass and back down as it moves.
A variation with a dark green poptart with light gray crust, and a dark green gradient trail, on a light green background. The cat is followed by a small olive-green UFO.
A variation that is otherwise normal but appears to be glitching, breaking apart and reforming on subsequent frames. The background switches rhythmically between the normal dark blue and a lighter, more medium blue.
A variation with golden fur and a golden poptart and trail. The cat occasionally flashes as if to suggest a metallic sheen. The stars flash between white and yellow.
A variation with a light blue poptart, riding a red motorcycle. The cat is wearing a pair of goggles as a hat.
A variation with orange fur, an orange poptart, and a flame-orange trail, on a purple-gray background. The cat's eyes flash between red and yellow.
A variation with a dark green checkerboard-patterned poptart, and a trail with three bands of green, white, and orange respectively, forming the Irish flag, on a green background. A tankard is balanced on the cat's head, with golden liquid fizzing out the top.
A variation with a white-to-blue gradient trail. Instead of a gray cat with a poptart for a body, the animal is a brown dog with a taco for a body, which is sticking its tongue out.
Finally, a single gif cycles through the above variations, as well as some additional variations not included in the original post. These additional variations include a pirate hat paired with a parrot companion and peg leg, a cowboy hat paired with a piece of grain held in the cat's mouth, a sombrero paired with a taco body, a globe body, a disco ball body, a ghost wearing a nightcap and carrying a candle, and a blue metallic variant.
