Not So Blurred Lines After All...
Mr Pharrell Williams & Mr Robin Thicke (who didn't even really write the track cause he was busy doing coke at the time and couldn't really of written a commercial successful track anyways) have been ordered to pay £4.8) to the estate of Marvin Gaye in the 'Blurred Lines' copyright case.
This will of course set a trend of many other cases coming up. However can you rip off a feel of a track as some people are saying? well basically it turns out yes ( watch out all you writers who's songs sound the same!). Sam smith got away with it by publicly saying he had before it went too far however in most cases writers get away with it. Well maybe no more cause 4 million is trend worth repeating if it means you need to go to court.

It looks like 90s Country sweetheart is making her way back onto stage for her 'last' ( as in Cher Last) world tour. P.O.P is very excited to see Mrs Twain also talk about working on a new album. Looks like the success of Taylor may of made Shania think twice about stepping away from the microphone for good.

Mariah Carey has announced she will be doing a residency at residency at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. P.O.P can not wait. Ok she might have had some vocal problems of late but when you sell over 150 million records and have 18 Number 1's who cares.
Can't wait to hear those classics (in a lower key mind you) Go mariah!

The Voice Is Back... Again :(
So not happy with making a series that can't produce any major number 1 artists (does becky hill count if she's a featured artist) The Voice is back with non other than Superstar .. Rita Ora.. giving out tips on how to sing. (how ironic)
Rita is already gaining a following and positive reviews despite the fact that her international reputation as a singer is dragging behind the reputation of how she manages to get producers to produce her tracks.
Will The Voice find a number 1 superstar to topple The X Factor?
Will The BBC finally see sense and not waste time on another series?
Will any one care?
Will The Voice admit its a flawed concept?
P.O.P seriously thinks not .. so in the meantime sit back and watch as 2015 gets off to a somewhat luke warm start with The Voice.

You WILL have the new U2 Album!
So Apple and U2 have teamed up so everyone has an automatic version of U2's new album on their iPhone.... even if they didn't want it. hmmm not sure its exactly a gift or a curse. Surely we can choose what we want on our own iTunes library? Well Apple think not. A good PR move? or will it annoy more people than not having 12 ( not gonna be hits lets face it) tracks on their iPhone's. We shall see!

Pharrell Williams now has the UK’s most downloaded song with ‘Happy’, reports the Official Charts Company.
The anthem has now celebrated 1.62m downloads since it was released last June and ‘Blurred Lines’, which has ‘shifted’ 1.59m.
He must be a happy boy! Another house please!
