I have a favor I must ask of all of you! A very good friend of mine recently had his dog stolen out of his backyard in Rolla, ND. I realize the odds of any of you living in North Dakota is..slim…but I think there is a different way you can all help. There are numerous for sale sites, swap n shop pages, and Craigslist ads that I alone cannot scour- but with your help, I may be able to. If you can’t search for sale pages and ads, at least spread the word if you have the time. My friend has suspicions that someone in Belcourt possibly made off with his beloved dog- Belcourt is notorious for chop shops, break ins, and dog thefts. Please, Tumblr, help reunite a dog and her human!

SKYPE VIDEO MESSAGE VIRUS

Some of you may have received surprising video-messages from someone on your Skype list today.

This is a virus! unfortunately, I downloaded it myself and I watched about a dozen of my followers get the same video  message from me as well.

It doesn’t ‘seem’ to do any damage. I’m not picking up anything with my virus protection, and the problem seemed to go away when I changed my password.

It ‘seems’ harmless enough, but better safe then sorry. If you see a video-message from someone, don’t download it until they say themselves if they sent it. You don’t have to block them. Please don’t hold it against them since it’s not their fault! ♥

I met this albino Raven named Pearl today at Bird Fest. It is only one of four known albino Ravens in the whole world.

Pearl lives in this woman’s house. The handler has a permit, and the bird is property of the government (like hawks and falcons). She is affiliated with the California Wildlife Center. Every time the handler stopped petting Pearl she started cawing. She really likes affection.

WARNING to anyone in East Sussex, UK. Police have found sausages laced with slug pellets. A number of dogs have already suffered from suspected deliberate poisoning in the Brighton area and so far two dogs have died. It’s unknown if the sausages found around Hailsham are related to the poisoning incidents in Brighton, but dog walkers in the area should beware.

Hey there! Easter is almost upon us, and you know what that means…bunnies! 

Let’s take a moment to discuss some bunny related facts that will hopefully help deter you from purchasing a rabbit for this holiday. 

1.) Domesticated rabbits live from 8-15 years. The Average rabbit lives around 10-12. 

2.) The baby bunnies you see in pet stores are usually around 2 months old, so they will be super cute and fluffy and affectionate! Which is exactly what pet stores WANT you to think you will be getting. BUT, this is a trap! Baby Bunny will hit puberty between 5-7 months of age, and will become a cranky, territorial, sexually frustrated TEENAGER.

3.) Teenage bunnies, particularly males, will spray urine on EVERYTHING, including you, your floor, your walls, your bed, and other bunnies. I don’t mean just a little tinkle, I mean literally the wall near your bunny’s housing will be literally coated in a crust of urine. It’s nasty, sticky, and it SMELLS.

4.) Unless you spay/neuter (which usually costs around 150-300 dollars) your bunny will continue to urinate on everything. females will rip their fur out and build nests and are much more likely to develop uterine cancer if they are not spayed.

5.) Rabbits love to rip carpet, chew on furniture, chew on baseboards, pee and poop on the floor(even if they are litter box trained, they will still scatter droppings as a way of saying “this is mine!”)

6.) Baby Bunny will triple or even quadruple in size. The average bunny is around 5 pounds, but some get even heavier than that. Dwarf breeds will average around 1.5 to 3 pounds.

7.) Rabbits are VERY social and get VERY sad and angry and depressed when kept alone in a tiny cage. Bunny should have a LARGE enclosure (NOT A PET STORE CAGE) and should have at least one friend. How would you like to live alone in a closet for your entire life? you would not!

8.) Rabbits require a daily diet of pellet (with NO added cereals, nuts, or candies) unlimited hay (all day every day, yep, it’s expensive) and a daily salad (green leafy vegetables EVERY SINGLE DAY)

9.) Think you can just leave bunny locked in a cage all day when you get bored of him? WRONG! Bunny gets bored, so he spends ALL NIGHT angrily biting and shaking the bars, digging and clawing at the floor, throwing his bowl around and biting his water bottle. He will keep you up all night long and drive you insane! (this also means is house is WAY too small and he needs more toys and room to play!)

10.) Rabbits get sick, they need to see the vet! Rabbit vets are expensive and hard to find. can you afford a rabbit vet? 

11.) Are you prepared to clean his litter box and feed him every single day? Can you spare 3-4 hours to sit and supervise him while he has his REQUIRED out-of-cage time? No? Then you should not own a rabbit.

RABBITS ARE NOT FOR EASTER. 

A RABBIT IS A HIGH MAINTENANCE, 10-12 YEAR COMMITMENT, WHICH WILL REQUIRE DAILY EXERCISE, A SPECIALIZED DIET, AND REGULAR VET VISITS. ARE YOU PREPARED?

Hi guys!! I need help with something.

The pictures above are the one and only WIP that I was ever sent through this whole entire time. Please continue reading. I commissioned a fursuit from someone I met at Saboten 2014 who now refuses to work on the commission and defriended me from Facebook (Which was the only way to contact her.) I’ve waited half a year for WIPs, gave her a due date of March for the con here in Tucson, Con-nichiwa, and only got an unfurred foam base three months after I commissioned her. I payed $1,100 USD for this suit up front because I trusted her, she explained she had a few projects (I.E. two heads and a premade suit to help her with person money issues.) which I gladly said that I didn’t mind waiting, for the due date of the suit was early 2015. (Once again, I told her march soon after.) She gave me one WIP of the suit (The pictures above), and a single update that she had sewn the headpiece together, which I asked for a photo of and she claimed that ‘it looked like a pile of fur’ and refused to send me pictures. This person has opened art commissions, worked on her own personal art pieces, done Second Life furry mods, and made other premade partials. She has stopped responding to me now that I’ve confronted her and asked for a refund, which she then told me that she sent me her TOS and “besides, I don’t do refunds” I looked back at our history and there was NO link to her site, a friend looked up her site and it has been down for several months now it seems. This persons name is Georgii Young on facebook, I have screenshots of all the important fursuit chat that we’ve had including all of her excuses and her personal guilt tripping of not being able to work on the suit. URGENT WARNING FOR DOG WALKERS IN LEEDS, ENGLAND, UK

Popular walking spots in the area are being littered with poisoned sweets.

The marshmallows were discovered on Saturday by a dog walker just outside Leeds at Guiseley Cricket Club and close to a children’s play area.

Some were filled with what is believed to be rat poison, others with ball bearings and nails.

An estimated 97 vaquita porpoise exist in the gulf of Baja, where they are at immediate risk for extinction-  If you genuinely care about cetaceans sign this petition which does not have nearly enough exposure: https://www.change.org/p/president-enrique-penanieto-save-the-vaquita-porpoise-from-extinction The goal is to amass 50,000 signatures to present to the president of Mexico to put a two year hiatus, with the potential of extension, of the use of gill nets. Which are incidentally the main cause of death for the porpoise and the ultimate cause of their demise.

Many fishermen want to help and the Mexican government will compensate the fishermen for their lost earnings during this time.
