The touch at the base of her neck brought with it clarity, and the realization that the item was a storage device, one compatible with her systems. Eyes widened just a bit and a happy hum left her mostly non-functional vocal units, sure that the item contained knowledge, the sort that Connor thought would be useful.

Excitedly she turned around, the access port actually free of dirt for the first time in years. It was not instantly accessible, not until she pulled aside the patch of duct tape that she used to keep it from getting damaged during her crawls through ventilation. Cleaning it was rather impossible on her own, so it was best to avoid it as much as possible. Not that it was much of a problem any more, not with family to help her with such things.

“KNOWLEDGE?” Yes she would find out soon enough, but the question was important.

“Yes.“ the android confirmed, the pleased smile never abandoning his features as he pushed the piece of duct tape blocking the access port aside - they would have to find a more permanent solution for this particular issue, soon enough - to then, as gently as possible, insert the USB into the designated slot. 

There was a little click, signaling that the data carrier had been successfully connected with Kara’s hardware; Connor kept his hand resting against the child android’s skin, close to the spot, surveying the process of information transfer with an equal amount of worry and fascination. 

It took a couple of moments - the download speed was clearly impaired, but considering Kara was a fairly old model, the instance didn’t appear to surprise the RK800 all too much.

“There we go. Should you experience any level of discomfort in the next few moments, let me know.” It was just a simple data transfer, of course, but who could really tell what kind of effect it would have on the tiny scrapyard android?
