Don’t mind me - Fangirling mode on, for Mr. Dancy in Confession of a shopaholic.
I just finished watching Confession of a Shopaholic and man, I love it, enormously to the point I’d like to write some enjoyable thoughts on it, but should I? I shouldn’t show my inner fangirl too much….
Well, since you asked.
Let’s talk about the show overall first. The cast was all wonderful people, the story was well put together and it’ll succeed making you laugh.
and that’s it!
Now I’m talking exclusively about Hugh in this movie.
First, it’s how he looked. He was 33 in this movie and this was how he looked.
Yes, I’m just as stunted as she was, he look nearly 10 years younger than his actual age. HOW ARE YOU EVEN POSSIBLE HUGH, YOU DIDN’T AGE, YOU JUST GREW SOME FACIAL HAIR. Compare with this picture:
See what I’m talking about, even the contrast in his action could not contrast his ages. 8 years apart is no big deal for him!
And, his voice in this movie, throughout the whole movie, was s3x to my ears. He has 3 voices you know, his American accent acting voice, British accent acting voice and his ONE-AND-ONLY DAILY LIFE REAL British accent and obviously his real voice sounds the most attractive, at least to me. So I was absolutely pleased for Luke Brandon’s voice to be so so so close to his, because in movies and shows he’s more likely to talk in either of his acting voices. Only Luke got this treatment, probably because Luke was a British living in New York, like him. He might have applied himself on Luke, I’d say Luke was the character that resembled himself the most out of all characters he’s played so far: both British-born New York citizens, very well-dressed men, ambitious and proficient in their career and assertive in love (and very charming dancers). So if you want to write a fic about Luke and you’re not sure which kinds of reaction or behavior he’ll be having, you can totally use Hugh’s.
And there were 2 scenes where Luke totally looked like Will Graham. One was him observing Rebecca.
the other scene was when Luke discovered Rebecca was lying, he walked away then turned half-way back to her, yelling and reaching out his hand, the same Will did to Jack in the first Copy Cat crime scene in the field in ep 1. I can’t find any gif for this but you know the scene.
So why I’m mentioning Will? Because seeing Luke having similar movements to Will makes me miss him so damn much.
I WANT MY KING OF PUPPIES BACK!!! MISSING HIM TOO MUCH I TRIED TO SOOTH MYSELF BY WATCHING OTHER MOVIES FROM HUGH, ONLY TO MISS HIM MORE 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Anyway, Hugh was charming in this movie, I did felt good watching his dorky wide smile.
Again
Ok and that’s it. End of my How much of a fangirl are you? essay.
Thank you if you read it
Now I go back to be a quiet fan, satisfyingly watching this beautiful man.

I started watching Hannibal
Before thoughts: apparently in this version he falls in love with Will Graham, but I don’t see how it can make him more relatable…
14 minutes into the first episode: I love Will Graham. I would die for Will Graham. He is the embodiment of perfection.
Oh yeah, I relate to Hannibal.
