All of the samples used for “Nickname Paradise” were extracted from Hawaiian LP’s from the 1950’s and 60’s. Some additional Guitar and Synth were added in the finishing process. This particular project set out to recycle largely forgotten music that was once used to create some sense of exotic wonder.
Nickname Paradise will be released on October 7th on tape and digitally.

Just got the Alan Gesso tapes in the mail and its blowing my mind at the moment. I'm kinda stoned and the bass is rumbling my small living room space and i'm just to engaged to turn it down, I mean who doesn't like to feel there walls vibrate. Dark synthesis, strange worlds, moody compositions, everything i love about synthesizer based music. What separates it for me from the basic attributes of that scene is the development of sound and the narrative it creates. It reaches into the light just to be thrust back into the dark. If you can groove with Steve Stapleton while also meditating to Harold Budd I think you'll enjoy this release.
