Welcome!
Hi! welcome to my blog... This is my first entry and it is also an intro to a podcast I will be posting on here and on various (maybe... at least one) other sites.  My plan is to do a fortnightly podcast where I research, test and review what I would like to loosely define as ‘naturopathic’ beauty products, remedies and medicine.  Basically any hippie shit you’ve heard about, whether it be chamomile tea for calming your nerves, taking saint johns wart for depression or putting a rose quartz in your bath to make you look more youthful, I am down to test it to see if it really works, at least for me.  I am keen as heck to do this because I flipping LIVE for this crap and I am a straight up sucker for it, despite also being a skeptic.  I love hearing about these new fads or ancient remedies that are apparently more effective, cheaper or better for you than other modern and commercialized products or medicine and trying them out for myself. Whilst I've been digging in the past I’ve longed for a blog/podcast like this where someone really attempts to get to the bottom of these sometimes to good to be true claims for hippie treatments. I am always striving to go 100% ‘natural’ and I don’t really know why other than it’s just a hobby of mine. I have found in the past that some of this stuff really works for me and I would swear by it and some of it is absolutely stupid but might just be the placebo kick I needed for a bit or just something interesting to try out in my spare time.  My plan is too research a particular naturopathic method of self care then test it out on myself over a two week period and then talk to ya’ll about it! I’ll discuss the theory behind the product or method, it’s history, why it’s supposed to work,  how it’s supposed to work and then I’ll tell you if it actually worked based off of my experience.  I have no formal qualifications in these areas, I’m just your average Joanne giving you a real, non-bias and informed opinion to maybe help you sift through what’s actually helpful and what’s not if you’re into that sort of crap.  I hope too see you here more often! watch this damn space! Love from your everyday witch doctor (I kid), Mia.
