Pokémon GO Fest 2020
Pokémon GO Fest 2020
I’ll start with this, GO Fest wasn’t what I was expecting but on the whole, I did enjoy the weekend. There were glitches throughout though which really put a downer on it at the time, but I’m definitely happy with some of the catches!

Pokémon GO Fest and July 2020
Pokémon GO Fest and July 2020
Tumblr media
It’s officially July, which means it’s GO Fest Month! In addition to the weekend itself, there are three weeks of tasks in the lead up which will result in the weekend being even better. It seems like it’ll be similar to the Throwback Challenges from May but datamined information seems to suggest that the main research needed to be done will only be three sets (but we can’t rule out each task…

Pokémon Presents 24th June Expectations
Pokémon Presents 24th June Expectations
Last week’s Pokémon Presents had some pretty unexpected announcements, most notably Pokémon Snap for Switch – which looks like it will be beautiful to play!
Other than that we had Pokémon Café Mix, which is another game for both mobile and Switch, it looks pretty cute but it’s not a game I would have been expecting. We also had a reveal for Pokémon Smile, a game to encourage children to brush…

Pokémon Sword/Shield Expansion Pass
Pokémon Sword/Shield Expansion Pass
We’ve been a long time without any news on the Pokémon Sword/Shield expansion but last week we finally found out the release date – 17th June, less than one week away!
Considering it’s so close, I wanted to write a little post on the things I’m most looking forward to based off what we’ve seen so far.

Pokémon GO June 2020
Pokémon GO June 2020
Pokémon GO’s May events were pretty awesome to take part in, but this month’s events look to be just as fun! (And I’m super excited for July’s GO Fest, but more on that next month!)

Shiny Pokémon
Shiny Pokémon are rare to find and essentially have colour variants. For a collector, they’re a great addition as (usually) it takes a lot of work to get a shiny!
First appearing in Generation 2 (Johto) games, shiny Pokémon can either be hatched from eggs or encountered in the wild. With the exception of Pokémon Let’s Go, they can’t be seen as shiny in the overworld, but only once you properly…

My shiny Alakazam from the recent Abra Community Day (13 shiny Abra caught)
If you’re anything like me then Pokémon GO is one of the main things keeping you sane right now, so I wanted to write a little blog post based on what we all have to look forward to in May because in my opinion it looks awesome!
Each week will be split up into the first four generations, with great bonuses included and…

Game Review | Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Game Review | Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The perfect game to get lost in, especially for right now.
Let’s be honest, 2020 in general has been terrible for just about everyone in the world. In the UK, we’re stuck in a lockdown for who knows how long and for most it’s as though the world has just stopped completely.
The new Animal Crossing game on Switch (Animal Crossing: New Horizons) came out at the perfect time to help a lot of…

Play Read Repeat | Etsy Store
Play Read Repeat | Etsy Store
For those of you who don’t know, I run an Etsy store with a focus on selling nerdy art (of course).
Now, up until this week it was called ArtByLuchia, but honestly things just got very confusing to manage and considering I also wanted an Instagram focused on my general photography I had to streamline things a little.
My Etsy store has been renamed to PlayReadRepeatfor ease, and I’ll make the…

Pokémon Center London | 19th October 2019
Pokémon Center London | 19th October 2019
On Saturday 19th October last year we took a trip down to London for what some might think was a crazy reason – purely to visit the Pokémon Center Pop-Up shop there for the run up to Sword and Shield.
Honestly, it was a ridiculously long day but I’d do it again in a heartbeat! (Albeit I’d plan better and make sure we had a hotel for the night etc). Our hauls were ace and it was a pretty fun day…

Retro Games Fair Leeds | 2nd February 2019
Retro Games Fair Leeds | 2nd February 2019
On Saturday I went to the Retro Games Fair in Leeds, run by Retro Events, and it was so much fun! There were so many awesome stalls there and it was great value for an entry price of just £2.
When we first got there it had been open for about an hour already and there were still queues to get in, and to be honest throughout the day I kept seeing there was a queue too, even when we were leaving!

Anthem Beta - The Good, The Bad and The Beautiful
Anthem Beta – The Good, The Bad and The Beautiful
Hey everyone! Just a quick little post today on my first impressions of Anthem from playing the Beta for it this past weekend. I have to say from what I did manage to play/see, I’m super excited for the full release of the game next month!
(TLDR; I actually really enjoyed it and will be preordering the exclusive copy from Amazon!)

Book Review | Destiny Grimoire Anthology Volume I
Book Review | Destiny Grimoire Anthology Volume I
Well, bear with me as this is my first ever gaming-related book review so here goes nothing!
Destiny is one of my favourite games to play and I had this book on pre-order since I first saw it. It’s a beautiful little collector’s book and one that makes my Destiny collection look pretty awesome, with some great little chapters from the Grimoire cards.
Read on for a little more of a review though!
