she can’t help but wonder, sometimes, if she’s doing everything wrong. sabrina spends hours lying awake at night thinking about her life, her family, her magic and how she should use it. she can never quite come to a comfortable conclusion, and part of that might come from being young. she’s in an inherently transitional part of life, and maybe she’s not supposed to have all of the answers, maybe she’s supposed to feel like she’s drowning every once in a while. but some days she can’t help but think of the home she’s made for herself in the dark, how she finds power as she traverses the unknown, the grief. she knows there might never be a light at the end of the tunnel, she knows her path could twist at any moment, and who knows what she’ll do to survive when she falls off of it.

but eddie? eddie’s warmth where she’s a late night’s frost, he’s light where she’s the shadows of the moon. she looks at him, looks at all of his joy, all of his life, and wonders if she can help anyone when she’s so cloaked in inky darkness. it’s where she’s comfortable, now, and she loves the path she’s forging but sometimes she wonders. . .  wonders if it’ll all turn to ash beneath her, again.
